Guest Designer for Jan's Digi Stamps Challenge Blog

I was recently asked to be a Guest Designer for Jan's Digi Stamps for September 2023.

I have been away and I thought my post was scheduled for 16 September 2023 but I had not pressed the "publish" button.  It is a long time since I did that but I could not rectify it whilst I was away but I am now publishing my card now.

Last month I was delighted when I saw that I was Jan's Digi Stamps Guest Designer for September 2023.  I was given the topic of "Fall/Autumn" and was able to pick an image from Jan's Digi Store.  Oh my goodness me there are wonderful images in the store and quite diverse but I was spoilt for choice.  In the end I chose "Harvest Scarecrow".

I used one of the large sentiments as a backing paper in Craft Artist and added the gorgeous scarecrow and sentiments.  I also printed out the scarecrow 3 times along with some of the flowers so I could fussy cut and decoupage.

I have simply finished my Autumn/Fall card with some glitter glue on the centre of the flowers and some of the pumpkins.

As You Like It - Favourite Fall colours and why - here in the UK we do not celebrate Fall but when we visited Utah to see my son's "in-law's" to be, it was so absolutely wonderful seeing Fall decorations in the shops.  I think brown, yellow and reds are brilliant Fall colours my favourite has to be the wonderful shades of orange for the pumpkins.

Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Inspiration Post - Monday 18 September 2023

Sadly we have ended the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Facebook Monthly Challenge due to lack of entrants.

Instead the Design Team members will be posting three cards/projects each month on the Facebook Group for inspiration on what you could make with Ching-Chou Kuik's amazing images.

Here is one of my inspiration posts.

For this Christmas card I have used the pre-coloured/decoupage Ching-Chou Kuik image called "Northern Blessing".

The backing papers are from a Debbi Moore Designs CD.

I have finished the card off quite simply with some die-cut snowflakes, a Lili of the Valley sentiment and some Nuvo pearl drops.

I need to try and keep my Christmas card keeping on coming as the year is flashing by.

For my Christmas card I have used the Ching-Chou Kuik image called "Poinsettia Fairy".

I have coloured the image in with Promarkers.  The two backing papers were more teal coloured so I coloured over with Tim Holtz's Pine Needles distress ink.

On the scalloped mount I have stamped poinsettias and Mistlestoe.

I have finished the card off with a Debbi Moore sentiment, die-cut poinsettia with a large brad for the centre.

Guest Designer at Through the Purple Haze

I was lucky recently to be asked to be a Guest Designer at the Purple Haze Challenge Blog.

The sponsor for the challenge is Moonflower Digital Stamps.

For my card I have used the Moonflower Digital Stamps image called "Candy Faery".

I have coloured my image in with Promarkers, used my Crafter's Companion clear sparkle pen to her wings (as a fairy needs sparkly wings) and the gorgeous hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows has some baking candy strips).

The backing papers are all from my stash.

I have finished the card off with a border, Lili of the Valley digital sentiment and some buttons.

Happy Birthday Niece

This is a card that I made recently for my niece.

I have used the Paper Shelter image called "Rebel".  For my card I used the composition paper and printed out a few times so I could decoupage up the image.

Backing papers are from Summertime Designs (sadly no longer available).  I distressed the edges of the papers and topper with my Tim Holtz distressing tool for a Shabby Chic style feel to the card.

I have finished the card off with a stamped sentiment, glitter drops, sparkly ruched ribbon and some beads.

Here is one of my inspiration posts.

For my journal page this month I have used the Ching-Chou Kuik image called "Restless Thoughts".

I have coloured the image in with Promarkers and highlighted areas with my white gel pen.

The Backing paper was in my scrap folder.  It was too much of a light blue so I used Tim Holtz's Peeled Paint distress ink over it and it resisted in the areas of the glitter leaves on the backing paper.

I have finished my journal page off with some die-cut toadstools, punch cut leaves and a stamped sentiment.

Here it is next to the image of the red panda I did a while back.
