Today would have been my daddy's 79th birthday had he not died 37 years ago when I was a teenager.
Sadly he never saw me leave school, never saw me start work, was not there on my wedding day to give me away, was not around for the birth of my two boys and has not seen them grow up into the amazing two adults that they are, one to embark on a life in Utah as soon as legalities are sorted and the other to start as a Director of IT at a world renowned hospital in January 2023.
Miss you so very much.

Sending Birthday Wishes
It was my husband's birthday last month. I had made his card weeks before using the CraftsUPrint digital kit by Gillian Hutchinson called "Life's Pitch".
Unfortunately when we were away prior to his birthday we made the agonising decision that we needed to sell our caravan. Although I knew it was for the best it has really affected me.
I then had to mention to my husband about his birthday card ie about the topic, as I knew health-wise I did not have time to make another card when we got home, but he was OK about it.
For my card I have used the topper, decoupage and insert from the kit and printed onto linen card for a special effect.
The backing papers I used are from Summertime Designs (sadly no longer available). On one of the papers I used a wood effect stamp around the edge.
I have finished the card off with some ribbon, sentiments from the kit and some card candi.

September Birthday/Anniversary Tag
Unfortunately my health/life events have caused me to stop running the Ching-Chou Kuik Design Teams until December 2022. Hopefully a little break will make things settle down.
I have though made my tag for my birthday/anniversary tag holder.
For my tag I have used the image "Autumn Trio" and have coloured the image in with Promarkers, highlighted areas with my white gel pen and inked around the edge with a green Versa Magic chalk ink pad.
I have painted the tags with gesso and then inked with Tim Holtz's Mustard Seed distress ink. I have used various leaf stamps and different ink pads to add some texture to the background.
For the embellishments I have had to keep it relatively flat as I am not sure all 12 hangers will fit in the box!! I have die-cut some toadstools for the front and back as well as die-cutting some leaves and adding them to the edges and finally a typed "September".

August 2022 Birthday/Anniversary Hanger
Sadly health/life issues have forced me to stop running and being part of the Ching-Chou Kuik Design Teams until the end of the year. It was not a decision made lightly but at the moment I am not up to crafting very much at all with everything going on.
I did though manage to finish my August birthday/Anniversary hanger and have used the Ching-Chou Kuik image called "Autumn Harvest". I have coloured the image in with Promarkers.
For the actual hanger I painted with a purple acrylic paint and then once dry I used a silver acrylic paint along with the scourer side of a sponge/scourer and stippled on the grey paint.
I found some scraps of purple card and used a Sentimentally Yours banner die to cut them out.
The hanger has been finished off with a 2-layer flower, ribbon and the computer generated sentiment.

Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Inspiration Post - Monday 18 July 2022
Today is the day for me to show you another creation for the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Facebook Group.
Here is my inspiration post with that theme.
For my last inspiration card for July I have used the Ching-Chou Kuik image called "Save the Tears" as I thought it was perfect for a thinking of you card I needed. I have coloured the image in with Promarkers and chalked the background.
The backing papers are all from my scraps folder. With the piece of blue card I put it through a dandelion embossing folder and then used a file to scrape off the blue top of the card to reveal the white core. I gutted some of the blue backing papers and used the paper with my dandelion dies and inked the edges.
I have finished the card off with a sentiment from a magazine, ribbon and some sequins in the centre of the embossed dandelions.

Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Inspiration Post - Monday 11 July 2022
Today is the day for me to show you another creation for the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Facebook Group.
Here is my inspiration post with that theme.
Well this is my 7th hanger that I have made and this one is for July. Sadly the box/stand for the hangers is still not decorated as I have not fully decided on what to do and have not been up to crafting lately.
For my July hanger I have used the Ching-Chou Kuik image called "Keep in Faith - Greyscale". I have coloured the image in with Promarkers.
I have painted the tag with a gold acrylic paint but thought it was a bit too dark so I put white gesso on it. I then used various leaf and flower stamps to add some texture to the background.
I then used a small sunflower stamp, stamped the images and coloured them in and fussy cut out. I have added to the tag and in some areas put half the sunflower on and I think it works quite well. I've had to try and restrict the dimension of the hangers as they might not all fit in at the end if I keep putting thick embellishments on them!!
Finally I added a sentiment off the computer for "July" and added the dates and details on the back for birthdays/anniversaries etc that I need for July each year.
I am entering this tag into the following challenges:

Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Inspiration Post - Monday 4 July 2022
Today is the day for me to show you another creation for the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Facebook Group.
Here is my inspiration post with that theme.
For Mother's Day my youngest son bought me a gorgeous London mug from Starbucks. It had a flimsy lid but the base of the box was very strong so I decided I would try to make my own lid using my Crafter's Companion box making board. It took a couple of attempts using A4 paper stuck together before I was happy with it and then cut out of A3 card.
When making boxes it is easier decorating before you put together so I used various blue and brown inks followed by using the same inks through a stencil to get more dimension. When I was satisfied with all of the layers I glued the box together.
For the top of the box I have used the Ching-Chou Kuik image called "Strength". I have coloured the image in with Promarkers, tore carefully around the edge of the image and then inked around the edge of the image.
To finish off the top of the box I added some felt and paper flowers and blue pearl drops.
I now have a snazzy box to keep the digital images I have coloured waiting to be made into projects.

Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps "Just Colour It" Challenge - July 2022
In April 2022 the "Just Colour It" challenge started over on the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Facebook Group.
There will be still the Monthly Challenge but this one has been specifically set up for those people that just like to colour Ching-Chou Kuik images and do not make their images into cards/scrapbook pages/mixed media etc.
The topic for the "Just Colour It" Challenge is always "ANYTHING GOES".
For my coloured in image I have used the Ching-Chou Kuik image called "Winter Warmth - Greyscale".
The colouring mediums I have used are:
Promarkers
Pencils
White gel pen.
Why not print off a Ching-Chou Kuik image and colour it in and enter this challenge.
We'd love to see what you create.

Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Inspiration Post - Monday 20 June 2022
Today is the day for me to show you another creation for the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Facebook Group.
Here is my inspiration post with that theme.
I have decided to make a bright and cheery card this week.
The Ching-Chou Kuik image I have used is called "Love is Fearless" and I have coloured my image in with Promarkers. I have edged the image with Tim Holtz's Picked Raspberry and Dusty Concord distress inks.
The backing papers I have used are from my stash box (there's even a die-cut bit missing underneath the image but that's our secret isn't it?).
I have kept the embellishments quite simple as the card needs to be posted so I have added some pearls, lace and a die-cut sentiment.

Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Inspiration Post - Monday 13 June 2022
Today is the day for me to show you another creation for the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Facebook Group.
Here is my inspiration post with that theme.
For my birthday card I have used scraps of 8x8 card with a blue and green colour scheme so that determined the colours I used on my image.
I have used the Ching-Chou Kuik image called "Sakura in March" and I have coloured the image in with Promarkers and edged with a blue chalk ink pad.
I have finished the card off with two doily layers, sentiment from a CD, lace, ribbon, Viva decor pearl drops and some gorgeous little flowers.

Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Inspiration Post - Monday 6 June 2022
Today is the day for me to show you another creation for the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Facebook Group.
Here is my inspiration post with that theme.
Well I am now six months into my birthday/anniversary card stand. I decorate a tag each month and on the reverse I print off the dates cards are needed and for what. I keep the completed tag in its stand by my computer. I still haven't got around to decorating the actual stand. My thinking is a New York theme as our front room is a New York theme.
For my tag I painted it with white gesso and then sponged on two different blue acrylic paints using little bits of kitchen sponge/scourers chopped up. I then used various stamps of birds, feathers and dots to give more interest to the background.
The Ching-Chou Kuik image I have used is called "Awake in Purple Dream" and I have coloured in with Promarkers and highlighted areas with my black and white gel pens.
As the tag needs to fit in the stand along with 11 others I cannot go "over the top" with embellishments so I have used some torn washi tape, die-cut birds, sentiment printed off the computer and a very small scrap of ribbon.
I am entering this card into the following challenges:

I have used the Ching-Chou Kuik image called "Carnation and Monarch".
The image has been coloured in with Promarkers and areas highlighted with a white Posca pen and my Sakura stardust clear pen.
The backing papers are bright pink/orange/white and are all from a pad from The Works.
I have finished the card off with some ribbon I got from Dawn Bibby's shop when I went to see it for my 40th birthday, a very sparkly sticker saying "smile" from a Pocket Letter swap some years ago, Craftwork Cards die-cut sentiment and some die-cut flowers with pearl centres.

What a stressful week as I've not been able to get into my own blog. Thankfully it is all sorted now - fingers crossed!!

For the card I have used a Mini Kit called "The Dawg!" by Gillian Hutchinson over at CraftsUPrint.

The backing paper used is from Summertime Designs (sadly no longer available).

⚓ ⚓ ⚓ Enjoy Your Retirement ⚓ ⚓ ⚓
Here is a retirement card that I have made using a kit called "Sea View" by the ever so talented Janet Briggs over at CraftsUPrint.
For my card I have printed the topper sheet and the decoupage sheet as I knew this one was being hand delivered so I didn't have to worry about the depth of it and posting.
The backing papers are from my nautical pad by Sara Davies over at Crafter's Companion. I love this paper pad as it goes so well with lots of images like this that I have got.
I have finished the card off with die-cut shells/anchor/ship's wheel/netting (by Crafter's Companion), pearls, sentiment from the kit and a metal charm held on with some garden twine.

This week the Design Team were challenged to the topic "3 or more layers".
Here is my inspiration post with that theme.
For my card today I have used the Ching-Chou Kuik image called "Poppy Fairy".
I have coloured my image in with Tim Holtz's Spun Sugar and Broken China distress ink.
The backing papers must for been bought 8-9 years ago by my sons. They are so nice I didn't want to use but what is the use of them just sitting on my shelf? I have used my Tim Holtz distress guillotine around the edge of all of the papers and the toppers.
The card has been finished off with some wide blue ribbon, wide lace, three flowers, sentiment and some Sentimentally Yours pearls (which are more than yummy!!).

Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Inspiration Post - Monday 2 May 2022
Today is the day for me to show you another creation for the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Facebook Group.
Here is my inspiration post with that theme.
Here is May's instalment of the hanger to hang in the box to remind me what cards I have to make each month. I can just take the hanger out and put on my craft desk to see what to make.
For this month's hanger I have used the Ching-Chou Kuik image called "Starry Wish" and I decided to print onto Crafter's Companion kraft card for a change. I have coloured the image in with Promarkers and inked around the edge with Tim Holtz's Mustard Seed distress ink.
I painted gesso on the hanger and then brushed on Tim Holtz's Mustard Seed distress ink. I then used various leaf/star stamps around the image for the background.
I have finished my hanger off with an organza ribbon bow, "MAY" text written on the computer, gorgeous flower and on the back is the list of birthdays/anniversaries etc.
I am entering hanger I have made into the following challenges:
