Passion for Promarkers Challenge - Fancy Frames

Last month when we were away I bought a little box for small notes with a drawer underneath.  It was 100% OK when I got it but by the time I got it back to the caravan there was a deep cut in the top.  Well I couldn't leave it like that so I decided to make a new top for it.

The image I have used is by Ching-Chou Kuik and is called "Sweet Pal".  I coloured my image in with my Promarkers.  I think I must use purple shades too much as I need to go and source some more purple Promarkers as I cannot be without them.

The backing papers I have used are from The Works.  I got a beautiful paper pad at the same time as this note box and it has lovely purple/pink/blue shades.  I was loathe to cut into it but I did.  I am hoping when they are next back open after the lockdown in the UK I can go and get another one.  I used a piece of plain purple pad from The Works and cut out a Marianne Designs frame.  I've had this for a long time but I could never get it to cut out easily with my manual die-cutting machines but as soon as I used my Gemini machine it cut like a breeze.

I have finished off the top with some Sue Wilson die-cut greenery, punched flowers and Nuvo pearl drops.

I am entering this project into the following challenges:

Colour Crazy Challenge Blog - Friday 13 November 2020

It is time for another challenge over at the Colour Crazy Challenge Blog.

The weekly topic is always "anything goes".

This week we are lucky to be sponsored by "Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps".

For my Christmas card I have used the Ching-Chou Kuik digital stamp called "Winter Snowflake".

I have coloured the image in with Promarkers, used inks for the background and added lots of glitter for some added sparkle.

With some of my birthday money I put it towards a set of dies I wanted from Phill Martin's Sentimentally Yours Collection and decided to go for the square eyelet set.  I love them and hope to play with them a lot more very soon.

The backing papers I have used are from a Creative Crafting World Christmas CD so I could match the colours I had used in the image as best I could.

Happy 6th Anniversary to the Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration and Challenge Blog and the Facebook Challenge

Last month saw the 6th anniversary of the Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration and Challenge Blog and the Facebook Challenge.  This is an amazing achievement as so many challenges have closed down over the years so some of the DT members made extra projects to celebrate.  I did make my project but the last three weeks have been very difficult health-wise and I have barely been on the computer so I am belatedly posting what I created.

For my card I have used the free image that was given to anyone that entered the Blog Challenge called "Night Watchers".  I have coloured my image in with Promarkers and I have used inks for the background.

The backing papers are various scraps from my stash.

I have finished my card off with a number "6", stamped sentiment, voile ribbon and leaf trim.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Happy 60th Birthday to my Brother John

It was my brother-in-law's 60th birthday yesterday.  No party for him and nearly no handmade card as I haven't been at all well the last month.

My brother-in-law has an amazing fish tank in his front room and a lot of time is spent looking after the fish so it had to be a fish themed card.  I looked through various CDs and came across this image of four fish on my Joanna Sheen Jayne Netley Mayhew CD.  I printed off the topper sheet and an insert and the backing papers were from a Creative Crafting World CD.

I used the fish on the smaller toppers and fussy cut them and die-cut seaweed, net and vegetation and placed the cut out fish on either side of the card.  The main image is decoupaged.

I have finished the card off with a sentiment printed from the CD, the number "60" die-cut out of packaging card twice and then some patterned paper to add dimension, lots and lots of die-cuts and Nuvo pearl drops added to the vegetation and the backdrop for the fish.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
