Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps - New release

  Today sees the arrival of a set of new images in the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Etsy Store: 

 This image is called "Seashell".  

In this set you will get a black-and-white image and a partially coloured image by Ching-Chou Kuik herself.

  This set is available in the Etsy Store at a special introductory price of $2.00 (instead of the usual $4).

Big Birthday Wishes

I recently won a goodie bag from Brenda at the Allsorts Challenge 10th birthday celebrations.  Inside the bag were lots of goodies including this gorgeous Santorro stamp.  She's a beauty and could be used for any occasions like birthday, get well soon, thinking of you etc.  I have coloured the image in with my Promarkers in more pastel tones to match my papers.

The backing papers are from a pastels set from The Works and the edges have been inked with a VersaMagic pink chalk ink pad.

I have finished the card off with some stripy/dotty tags from a First Edition backing paper pad with baker's twine threaded through them, three X-cut decorative borders cut out from the backing papers and inked with a pink chalk ink pad, decorative ribbon, die-cut sentiment, gems and some die-cut butterflies from the scraps of backing papers and inked with the pink chalk ink pad.

The Promarkers that I have used are:

Hair - Caramel, Cocoa and Henna
Dress/gloves - Sky Blue, Arctic Blue and Powder Blue

Here is my inspiration post with this theme.

For my birthday card I have used the Ching-Chou Kuik image called "Purple Tender".  I have coloured my image in with Promarkers.

The backing paper I have used is a lovely pearlised paper from The Works and it is teamed up with some dark green paper from a Christmas pad from The Works.

I have finished the card off with from stitched grosgrain ribbon, pearls, die-cut flower, very large brad and a stamped sentiment.

Colour Crazy Challenge Blog - Friday 14 June 2019

  It is time for another challenge over at the Colour Crazy Challenge Blog.

The topic this week is "anything goes".

PLEASE NOTE:  We are a colouring challenge and therefore to take part in the challenge you MUST have coloured something on your card/creation and you MUST specify the colouring medium you have used.

 This week we are being sponsored by Createful Heart Design.

For my card I have used the image "Meadow Flowers".  I printed the image off three times so that I could decoupage up the flowers to add some dimension.  I have coloured the image in with Promarkers and added some Diamond Stickles glitter glue to the petals for some sparkle and shine.

The backing papers are from a download from the Creative Stamping magazine.

I have finished the card off with a die-cut butterfly border, die-cut butterflies with some Stickles added to their bodies, sentiment and three different ribbons (wide satin ribbon, organza ribbon and a narrow satin ribbon).

Passion for Promarkers Challenge - Make it pink

I thought I would play along with the Passion for Promarkers Challenge this week as their topic is "make it pink".

Here is a card that I have made using the Bugaboo Stamps Image called "Birthday Unicorns Set 2" and a sentiment from a Polkadoodles set called "Ula Be a Unicorn - Life Journal".  I have coloured the image in with Promarkers and added Stickles glitter glue to the unicorn's mane and hat.

The backing papers are from The Works.

I have finished the card off with some wide blue satin ribbon, white lace, white satin ribbon, flowers inked with blue and grey to match the colour scheme, stamped sentiment and Pinflair wand blue pearl added to the centre of the flowers, Cut and Make unicorn die-cuts and some grey pearls.

Happy Birthday

Here is a card that I have made using my Joanna Sheen Jayne Netley Mayhew CD (sadly no longer available).  Isn't this cat gorgeous?

I have used a backing paper from the CD and printed off two sheets of the toppers so that I could decoupage the image (yes I may use a lot of rubber stamps and digital stamps but I still love using my CDs and doing decoupage).

I have finished the card off with a die-cut sentiment, ribbon with little cats on it and sequins (which caused me a right nightmare to photograph the card!!).

New Bookmark for My Husband

My husband loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees to read books.  He will not use my Kindle and has to read via a book in his hand so I have made him a new bookmark.

I have used a Sheena Douglass stamp of this gorgeous dog.  It reminds me of our friend's new puppy that we saw last month.  I have coloured the image in with Promarkers.

For the shape of the card I have used a Sheena Douglass shaped tag and cut three layers:  a white layer in the middle and two patterned layers for the front and back to give it more stability.

I have used a sentiment banner from a set of Christmas stamp from Crafter's Companion and cut out the banner in purple, yellow and green to add some extra colour to the tag.

I have added some die-cut flowers which I have just put together with tacky glue to keep them flat, some die-cut greenery free from a magazine, added some Pinflair gold pearl wand to the centre of the flowers and some of the banners and added a tassel that I got from Joanna Sheen's store a number of years ago.

Now will my husband like his new bookmark?
