Ching-Chou Kuik's Digital Stamps Inspiration Post - Friday 25 May 2018

 Here is my weekly inspiration post for the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Monthly Challenge Blog. 

Before I do I'd like to remind you that our challenge this month is "PEARLS/GEMS".

This week the Design Team were challenged to "MAKE YOUR OWN FLOWERS" by Design Team Member Vannessa.

Here is my inspiration post with this theme.

 For my card I have used the Ching-Chou Kuik digital stamp called "Monarch Butterfly" (this comes in a set along with the "Two Lady Bugs" image).  I have coloured the image in with Promarkers, added white gel and Spectrum Noir clear sparkle pen highlights and fussy cut around the image.

The backing papers are from my stash.

I have finished the card off with a die-cut sentiment, ribbon, little dainty flowers made with two X-cut punches with Novo pink pearl drops added to the centres.

Promarkers used: 

Butterfly - Yellow, Lemon, Sunflower, Spice, and Orange

Flowers/branches - Cerise, Rose pink, Cocoa and Cinnamon

Background - Cobalt Blue.

Lemon Shortbread Challenge - Tuesday 22 May 2018

 Welcome to another challenge over at the Lemon Shortbread Challenge Blog.

The challenge this fortnight is "anything goes".

 For my bright and cheery birthday card I have used the Lemon Shortbread image called "Butterfly Meadow".  I have coloured the image in with Promarkers.

I have used a die-cut butterfly card which I bought in a sale some years back so it is about time to start using them.  

The backing papers I have used are from my stash.

I have finished the card off with some washi tape, die-cut Joanna Sheen butterflies, small bought white flowers, two sunflower-style flowers made by a fellow crafter in Canada, Dawn Bibby Designs gems and a die-cut sentiment.

Promarkers used: 

Face/skin - Saffron, Spice and Oatmeal 
Hair - Cinnamon, Caramel and Sandstone

Flowers/butterflies - Leaf Green, Lime Green, Berry Red, Red, Yellow, Sunflower, Salmon Pink, Cocktail Pink, Orange and Spice.

 For my card I have made for a friend I have used the Ching-Chou Kuik digital stamps image called "Still" and I have coloured the image in with Promarkers and fussy cut out the image.

The backing papers are from some Debbi Moore Inspiration Magazines.

I have finished the card off with some spotty washi take, die-cut tag, ribbons and pearls.

Dress/earrings - China Blue, True Blue and Cobalt Blue

Hope You Feel Better Soon Card

Here is a card I made recently for a friend who had been in hospital.  I could of course used a card from my stash but seeing as she has a slight addiction to tigers - well not just a slight but a massive addiction -  I decided to make a tiger card.  Of course I went straight to my Creative Crafting World Pollyanna Pickering's World Wildlife CD.

For my card I have used three different backing papers, 8x8 insert and a twisted decoupage topper which I have layered up with foam pads as it was going to be hand-delivered.

I have finished the card off with a sentiment off the CD (ie a box where you could insert your own text before it printed), decorative circles from the topper sheet cut out with a punch and inked around the edges and finally some seam binding ribbon.

I was going to enter this into the Creative Crafting World Challenge this month but their blog seems to have disappeared.

Colour Crazy Challenge Blog - Friday 11 May 2018

 Good morning.  

It is time for another challenge over at the Colour Crazy Challenge Blog.

The topic this week is "anything goes".

PLEASE NOTE:  We are a colouring challenge and therefore to take part in the challenge you MUST have coloured something on your card/creation.

 This week our sponsor is "Fred, She Said Designs".

For my card I have used the seahorse and seaweed images from the "Emma the Mermaid and Friends Set".  I have coloured the images in with Promarkers.  I have used a Viva Declor blue pen to add some pearl drops to the seahorse.  I have fussy cut the seahorse and the seaweed.

For the background I have various Spectrum Aqua pens and scribbled on my glass mat, spritzed with water and whooshed the card around.  I kept repeating this until I'd got the effect I wanted.  I then got a darker blue pen, spritzed and then used a scrap of bubble wrap to make it resemble water bubbles in the water.

For the frame I stamped around with various seaside stamps I have.

I have finished the card off with various die-cut shells and a stamped sentiment.

Lemon Shortbread Challenge - Tuesday 8 May 2018

 For my birthday card I have used the Lemon Shortbread image called "Flower Wave".  I have coloured the image in with Promarkers and chalked the background with pearlescent chalks.

The backing papers are from my stash.

I have finished the card off with a doily die-cut coloured with Tim Holtz's Squeezed Lemonade distress ink and some narrow pink ribbon threaded through, various die-cut flowers with Nuvo pearlescent drops to the centre, pink raffia-style ribbon, die-cut sentiment, decorative K and Co brad and I have stamped a Chloe's Cards swirly stamp onto acetate, heat embossed and cut out.
