The topic for the challenge this month is "INSPIRED BY LEONARDO DA VINCI".
I saw this topic and wanted to "run for the hills" and not take part but in the end the topic got the better of me and I have decided to play along with their challenge this month.
I was not aware of all the paintings by Leonardo da Vinci so I had to do a bit of research. In the end I found inspiration from this image called "La Belle Ferronniere":
so I decided to follow the colour scheme, the addition of some wood effect papers and the use of chains in relation to the chain around her head.

For my journal page I have used the Ching-Chou Kuik image called "Nightfall". I have coloured the image in with Promarkers and distressed around the edge of the image with my Tim Holtz distressing tool.
The papers I have used are all from my scrap folder including the pieces of wood effect. I have used two gate/garden images from a Crafty Individuals image pad.
I have finished the journal page off with some die-cut flowers, chains from an old necklace that got damaged, pearls and a cameo.
Promarkers used:
Face/skin - Saffron, Spice and Oatmeal
Hair - Henna and Walnut
Ground/sky/hills/moon/stars - Sandstone, Pastel Beige, Khaki, Pumpkin, Spice, Orange, Cool Grey 4, Cool Grey 5 and Warm Grey 5.
