Colour Crazy Challenge Blog - Friday 24 November 2017

  It is Friday and therefore time for another challenge over at the Colour Crazy Challenge Blog where I am a Guest Designer.

The topic is "anything goes".

 The sponsor for this weeks' challenge is "Polkadoodles".

  For my card I have used the Polkadoodles image called "Holly Sparkles Christmas Unicorn".  I decided to do a pastel card so I have used mainly pastel colours apart from the traditional red and green.  I have coloured the image in with Promarkers.  I have added Stickles glitter glue to the unicorn's hat and collar and I have done a feint background with chalks.

The backing papers are from The Works.

I have finished the card off with a die-cut doily, card candi, sentiment from a Creative Crafting World Yuletide CD and an organza ribbon.

Promarkers used: 

Unicorn - Pale Pink, Blush, Orchid, Meadow Green, Pastel Yellow, Pastel Blue, Denim Blue, Red, Poppy Red, Crimson, Pear Green, Moss Green and I have used my Promarkers blender to lighten up the colours in the unicorn's tail.

Ching-Chou Kuik's Digital Stamps Inspiration Post - Friday 24 November 2017

 Here is my weekly inspiration post for the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Monthly Challenge Blog. 

Before I do I'd like to remind you that our challenge this month is "CHRISTMAS".

This week the Design Team were challenged to "anything goes".

Here is my inspiration post with this image.

  My project this week is a mixed media project.  I decided to decorate an old coffee tin.  I used some white gesso as a base coat and then I used my Imagination Crafts Starlight Metallic Blue Paint to paint a couple of coats onto the tin.

I have used the Ching-Chou Kuik image called "Autumn Sea" (this comes in a set along with the images Intense red, Jewellery Keeper, Flowing Crimson and Sunset Jasmine) and I have coloured her in with my Promarkers and used my Pan Pastels (blue and yellow), Pan Pastel blender and Pan Pastel Coarse Medium for the background for some sparkle and shine.

I have finished the decorated tin off with some washi tape at the top and bottom, twine and shells.

As you can see from this second photo this decorated pot lives on my craft desk and has my started pots of glue standing in it with the tops downwards to avoid the post of glue drying out.

Happy Birthday

This is a card I have made using an image from a Joanna Sheen Jody Bergsma paper pad.  I love this image of the horses running around.

For the mount on the card I used some Sheena Douglass feather stamps and some See D's sentiment and texture stamps and stamp with various inks.

I used a feather die I had and cut them out and added some Cosmic Shimmer Copper Guilding Polish for some colour and shine.

I have finished the card off with a decorative border from the paper pad, the die-cut feathers and a Crafty Creations die-cut sentiment.

Beautiful Birthday Wishes

Here is a card I have made using an image and backing papers from a Debbi Moore Inspiration Magazine.

I have used various toppers, ribbon strip, flowers and decoupage elements to make this card.

I have finished this card off with some lace and some sparkly gems.

Lemon Shortbread Challenge - Tuesday 21 November 2017

  It is time for another challenge over at the Lemon Shortbread Challenge Blog.

The topic is "anything goes"

Here is project as inspiration with this theme.

 I have made a Christmas card using the image called "Winter Fairy".  I have coloured the image in with my Promarkers and added Stickles glitter glue to her hat/wings/coat edge and dress edge.  For the background of the image I used a Versamark ink pad and a small snowflake stamp and stamped around the image.  I then brushed over some pearlescent blue chalk.  I added some pearl drops to the centre of the snowflakes.

The backing papers I have used are from a Creative Crafting World Yuletide CD that I won recently.

I have finished the card off with some lace with some gingham ribbon threaded through it, sentiment off the CD, 3 dimensional snowflake made out of the backing papers and finished off with a button.

Hair - Raw Sienna, Burnt Sienna and Cocoa

Dress/coat/wings/hat - Cobalt Blue, Arctic Blue and Blue Pearl.

Colour Crazy Challenge Blog - Friday 17 November 2017

Ching-Chou Kuik's Digital Stamps Inspiration Post - Friday 17 November 2017

Here is my inspiration post with this theme.

For my card I have decided to use both yellow and orange.  I have used the Ching-Chou Kuik digital stamp called "Summer Goddess".  I have coloured my image in with my Promarkers. 

The backing papers I bought from The Works and they are a Papermania Pastel Capsule.

I have finished the card off with a stamped sentiment, die-cut butterfly doily, die-cut Spellbinders butterfly, ribbon and gems.

Good Luck

 Here is a Good Luck card I have made using a Michael Powell rubber stamp.  I love this stamp as I loveeeeeeeeeeee to see beach huts.  I have stamped out a few times so I could decoupage the image.  I have coloured the image in with my Promarkers.  On the front I have added some netting and various die-cuts (shell border, various shells and seagulls).

 The backing papers/tags/toppers etc are from my Debbi Moore's Shabby Chic Nautical CD and Debbi Moore Shabby Chic Seaside CD.

I have decorated all four sides of the card to make it extra special. 

I have also made up an 8x8 box and used the same backing papers and toppers/tags from the CDs to decorate along with some die-cut shells. 

Here is a picture of the card and decorated box together.  

I hope the recipient likes it.
