Happy 50th Birthday

 Here is a 50th birthday card I made using a Debbi Moore topper kit and backing papers from various Debbi Moore CDs.

I made a little shaker card to go on the front made with a Joanna Sheen 50 confetti.

As it was a special birthday I made a matching box for the card to go in.

The card and box have been finished off with peel-offs, pearls, flowers and organza ribbon bows.

Ching-Chou Kuik's Digital Stamps Inspiration Post - Friday 19 May 2017

Here is my weekly inspiration post for the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Monthly Challenge Blog. 

Before I do I'd like to remind you that our challenge this month is "RIBBON AND LACE".

The topic for the Design Team this week was "ANYTHING GOES".

Here is my inspiration post with this theme.

 I decided to do another journal page.  I have used the Ching-Chou Kuik image called "Autumn Sea" and it comes in a set of 4 other mermaids in the Etsy Store.  I have coloured the image in with Promarkers and inked around the edge with Tim Holtz's Mustard Seed and Salty Ocean distress ink.

 For the background of the journal pages I used my little round Tim Holtz distressing tool sponges and stamped circles with Tim Holtz's Broken China distress ink.  I then used the circular pad and used Tim Holtz's Peacock Feather distress ink and stamped in the gaps leaving some white spaces.

I then used stamps from a Joy! Craft "Under the sea" set to make the background.  I stamped out the shells and coloured in with Promarkers and cut out.

I adhered the shells and an anchor with a Creative Expressions Matte Medium I got from a One Day Special.  I also added the Matte Medium over the finish and seahorse so it added some texture and dimension.

Unfortunately my Sky Box was new to me then and I didn't realise that once full of recordings it will delete things so I lost all of Lisa Horton's shows with these products and stamps so I was well miffed as I have forgotten what I can use these products for!!

Ching-Chou Kuik's Digital Stamps Inspiration Post - Friday 12 May 2017

Here is my weekly inspiration post for the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Monthly Challenge Blog. 

Before I do I'd like to remind you that our challenge this month is "RIBBON AND LACE".

The topic for the Design Team this week was "your favourite colour".

Here is my inspiration post with this theme.

Well can you guess my favourite colour?  When I was growing up I LOVED pink and red but when I got a bit older I disliked these colours.  Instead I fell in love with the various shades of purple/lilac and that has stayed with me now for 25+ years.

For my card I have used the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps image called "Sunset Jasmine" which is for sale in the Etsy Store in a set along with four other stunning images.  I have coloured the image in with my Promarkers and highlighted areas with a Viva pearl wand pen.

The backing papers are scraps from my stash.

A piece of card I put through a Couture Creations embossing folder and rubbed over with the Cosmic Shimmer Shimmer Polish.

I have finished the card off with some washi tape, die-cut shells, coral reed and seahorse, Joy! Crafts stamped sentiment and a die-cut sentiment.

Crafty Purple Frog Challenge - May 2017 - Feeling Floral

 It is time for another challenge over at The Crafty Purple Frog Challenge Blog.

The topic this month is "FEELING FLORAL".  

For my card I have used a card blank from my Teal Goodie Bag.  I have used two different papers from the Sweet Dixie Spring Sentiments paper pad.  The image I have used is a topper of a little bunny from Lily of the Valley.

I have finished the card off with a Dovecraft doily which I coloured with a pink Pan Pastel, flowers (stamped and embossed with my new Velvet WOW embossing powder which is such a lovely quality, the flowers were then cut out and finished off with a sequin in the centre), ribbon and a Craftwork Cards die-cut sentiment.

Ching-Chou Kuik's Digital Stamps Inspiration Post - Friday 5 May 2017

 For my card I have used the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps image which is one of a set of images called "Girl with Flower Images" and the specific image I have used is "Rose".  I have coloured the image in with my Promarkers and chalked the background.

For my blue backing card I have used various ink pads and stamps.  I then used the Tim Hotlz textures hexagon die to cut some of the background away.

I have finished the card off with some decorative lace, stamped sentiment, satin ribbon, satin/organza ribbon bow, lots of flowers and some Sue Wilson Finishing Touches greenery die-cuts.

Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Facebook Group May Challenge - Beauties of the Sea

Today is the start of the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Facebook Group Monthly Challenge.

The topic for the challenge this month is "Beauties of the Sea".

For my card I have used one of the new Ching-Chou Kuik mermaid images called "Intense Red".  I have coloured the image in with Promarkers, chalked the background and stamped around with Tim Holtz's Squeezed Lemonade distress ink and a scroll stamp.

The backing paper I have used is from a Debbi Moore Inspirations Magazine.
