Ching-Chou Kuik's Digital Stamps Inspiration Post - Friday 21 April 2017

Here is my weekly inspiration post for the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Monthly Challenge Blog. 

Before I do I'd like to remind you that our challenge this month is "UNDER THE SEA".

Here is my inspiration post with this theme.

  For my card I have used the Ching-Chou Kuik image called "Flora and Fauna - Rose" and I have coloured her in with Promarkers and inked around the edge with Tim Holtz's Mustard Seed and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink.

The backing papers are from my stash.

I have finished the card off with three different ribbons, button, flowers, die-cut greenery, stamped sentiment, die-cut butterflies and lots of gems.

Ching-Chou Kuik's Digital Stamps Inspiration Post - Friday 14 April 2017

 Here is my weekly inspiration post for the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Monthly Challenge Blog.

This week the Design Team were challenge to "use at least 2 ribbons".

Here is my inspiration post with this theme.

For my card I have used the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamp called "Endless Waiting".  I have coloured my image in with Promarkers.

I have used a Dutch Doobadoo Fish Bowl Card Template for the shaped card.  I made sure that the image was large enough to just use as the backing and I then delicately cut the frame out for the front of the "fish bowl" style card and added acetate to the front so you can see the image through it.

I have finished the card off with reeds and a fish cut from paper using the template, Joy! Crafts shell stamps and sentiment, two different ribbons, die-cut shells coloured with Pan Pastels and some pearls.

For this card for a male recipient I have used my Crafter's Companion Flights of Fantasy CD.  I have used a card companion and toned it with some Creative Expressions gold pearl card which is rather yummy.

Crafty Purple Frog Challenge - April 2017 - Little People

 It is time for another challenge over at The Crafty Purple Frog Challenge Blog.

The topic this month is "LITTLE PEOPLE".  

For my card I have used the Dovecraft Back to Basics Goody Bag.  There are different bags available but I have used the Teal Goodie Bag.  In the Goodie Bags you get:

For my card I have used a Elizabeth Bell stamp that I got free with a magazine last year.  I have coloured the image in with my Spectrum Noir Illustrator pens.

From the Goodie Bag I have used the card blank, 2 backing papers, gem and buttons.

I have finished off the card with a stamped sentiment, ribbon and around a decorative edge of patterned card I have glued and added Wow! Sparkles Santorini Preimum Glitter for a little bit of sparkle.  Normally I will "run a mile" when using glitter but this glitter is so fine and adheres well which makes such a difference.

Ching-Chou Kuik's Digital Stamps Inspiration Post - Friday 7 April 2017

 Here is my weekly inspiration post for the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Monthly Challenge Blog. 

Before I do I'd like to remind you that our challenge this month is "UNDER THE SEA" (this can include animals/mermaids sitting by the sea as at some stage they go into the sea).

Here is my inspiration post with this theme.

 I have decided to make a mixed media project for a special friend's birthday.  I have used a heart shaped MDF plaque from The Works and coated with gesso.  Once dry I have over various different areas added some Cosmic Shimmer Sparkle Texture Paste Chic Viola and Cosmic Shimmer Texture Paste Chic Aubergine through various masks.  Once dry I knocked back the colour with a wash over with Imagination Crafts Starlights Pearl Paint.

For this project I have used the Ching-Chou Kuik image called "Purple Tender".  I have coloured the image in with my Promarkers, highlighted areas with my sparkle clear pen and then fussy cut around the image.

I have then used various seaside dies from Sweet Dixie, Joanna Sheen and a Memory Box die for the clouds.  I have cut these dies out of various colours of card and various textures like wood and cork.  I have also used a Joy! Crafts stamp set and coloured in the shells and a stamped sentiment.

I have finished this project off with the rope that came with the MDF heart and some very large pearls.
