Ching-Chou Kuik's Digital Stamps Inspiration Post - Friday 19 August 2016

 Here is my weekly inspiration post for the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Monthly Challenge Blog. 

Before I do I'd like to remind you that our challenge this month is "LET'S GO NEUTRAL" ie white, cream, browns or greys.

This week the Design Team have the topic of "anything goes".

 As you can see I have made a Pocket Letter.  I love making these.

I have used the images called "Petals of Rainbow", "Enter the Woods", "Hello Magnolia" and "Come Softly".  I have coloured the images in with Promarkers and inked around the edges with Tim Holtz's Victorian Velvet distress ink.

I have used various stamps for the remaining pocket letter fronts.

The two butterflies in the front are metal butterflies which I have coloured with alcohol inks and once dry I rubbed over some Stickles glitter glue.

The two butterflies at the bottom are made of acetate.  I have coloured the acetate with the same alcohol inks as the metal butterflies, then I have cut the butterflies out, added some Stickles glitter glue and adhered to the front of the pocket letter for something different.

 Here are the envelopes on the back.  They include ribbon, confetti, pearls, a rubber stamp, gems, fabric butterflies, die-cuts, sequins and the all important letter.

Happy 24th Birthday to our Son

 This day 24 years ago I gave birth to our eldest son.  It's amazing to think he is now 24  and has been left home 4 years.

Our son is always concerned about his appearance, especially his hair, so I thought this character was a fun image to make a card for him because as time moves on the wrinkles will start to appear!!

I bought this image in an 8x8 card kit by Gillian Hutchinson at CraftsUPrint.  The kit is called "Another Year, another wrinkle".

I cut out all the various items from the kit.  I used various paw and bone stamps to make a background and coloured the bones in with various Promarkers.

When layering together the main topper I thought the dog would benefit from a wobbly head so I folded a piece of acetate into a "M" shape and stuck the last two layers onto the head on the main topper.

Hopefully you can see from this photograph you can see the dog's head at a different angle.  If you gently shake his head he is all wobbles and wrinkles!!

I have finished the card off with some black ribbon, cream ribbon and then I got three plain wooden embellishments, wrote on the letters "S, O and N" onto them and triple embossed  to give a bit of sparkle.

I'm not sure what my son will think about this card but he does have a good sense of humour!!

Happy birthday to our very special son Kevin.  We are so proud of you.

 For my birthday card I have used the Ching-Chou Kuik image called "Rainbow in Eyes" and I have coloured the image in with Promarkers and highlighted areas with my white Posca pen.

I have finished the card off with a doily coloured with a pink Pan Pastel, satin ribbon, ruched ribbon, stamped sentiment, punched flowers and Nuvo pearl drops.

The images are called "Pick a Pumpkin" and "Not Just a Pumpkin".

 Here is my weekly inspiration post for the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Monthly Challenge Blog. 

Before I do I'd like to remind you that our challenge this month is "LET'S GO NEUTRAL" ie white, cream, browns or greys.

Here is my inspiration post with this theme.

For my card I have used the Ching-Chou Kuik image called "Purple Woods" (this comes in a set with three gorgeous other images).  I printed the image off onto some kraft card and coloured in with tones of brown Promarkers.

The backing papers are from my stash.

I have finished the card off with some animal print ribbon, stamped ticket sentiment, gem, Prima butterfly, frayed hessian, leafy style stamped decoration by Stamps by Chloe (heat embossed onto acetate and glitter added afterwards) and some die-cut flowers made out of parcel wrapping paper finished off with some gorgeous brads from a friend.

Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Facebook Challenge - August 2016 - The Four Seasons

 It is time for another challenge over at the Ching-Chou Kuik's Digital Stamps Facebook Group.

The challenge for August 2016 is "THE FOUR SEASONS",

Even though I am in the Blog Design Team I have decided to play along as well.

My choice was Winter and I decided to make a Christmas card.

 For my Christmas card I have used one of my all time favourite Ching-Chou Kuik's image "Holly Fairy" (Holly Fairy comes in a set of 4 images - the other images are Cherish Christmas, Poinsettia Fairy and Merry Season) and I have coloured her with Promarkers and added Glossy Accents to the holly berries for some dimension.  I have inked around the edge of the image with Tim Holtz's Peeled Paint distress ink.

The backing papers are from various Debbi Moore CDs.

I have finished the card off with scrunched ribbon, sentiment from my Christmas Creative Crafting World CD, die-cut holly with chalk ink added to the edges and some red mirri card candi,
