Ching-Chou Kuik's Digital Stamps - Inspiration Post - Friday 18 March 2016

 

Here is my weekly inspiration post for the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Monthly Challenge Blog. 

Before I do I'd like to remind you that our challenge this month is "USE EASTER/SPRING COLOURS ie pinks, greens, yellows and oranges".

This week the whole Design Team were challenged to "embossing - wet or dry or both".

I have used the Ching-Chou Kuik image called "Crimson Holly".   I have coloured the image in with Promarkers and chalked the background.

I decided to make my own backing paper.  I used various shades of green and red distress inks and rubbed over the card and then spritzed to allow the colours to run.  Once dry I used various Crafter's Companion Textures Stamps using the same colours of distress ink.  Once dry again I put the card through a large dots Embossalicious embossing folder.  I then used a piece of sponge and dabbed over areas with Cosmic Shimmer Pearl Glaze and inked around the whole piece of card with Tim Holtz's Peeled Paint distress ink.

I have finished the card off with some ribbon, sentiment from a CD and some stamped holly leaves embossed with gold embossing powder and Stickles glitter glue added for the berries.
