Ching-Chou Kuik's Digital Stamps Monthly Challenge Blog - Kym's Inspiration Post - Friday 25 March 2016

Here is my weekly inspiration post for the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Monthly Challenge Blog.  The week the Design Team have been given the topic of "anything goes".

Before I do I'd like to remind you that our challenge this month is "Easter/Spring colours".
Here is another Pocket Letter I have made with a bright and cheery Spring-like feel.  If you haven't seen these before pop on over to Janette Lane's Blog for more information - looking there is at your own risk as the making of Pocket Letters is rather addictive!!!!

For my Pocket Letter I have used three images:  Hello Magnolia, Meet Dragonfly and Sweet and Fragrant.  I have coloured the images in with Spectrum Noir pens and inked around the edge with Tim Holtz's Stormy Sky distress ink.

For the background of the pocket letters I have used scraps of paper and tore and did like paper mache onto a piece of card.  I then had some yellow acrylic paint and painted over the top.  I used various stamps to add some feeling of texture.  Some of the pieces I have used a stencil and Dutch Doobadoo texture paste through and inked over the top.

I stamped some butterflies onto acetate and heat embossed with white embossing power.  I have finished these pocket letters off with gem flowers, Nuvo crystal pearls. die-cut flowers, die-cut dragonflies/butterflies, die-cut leaves coloured with chalks, stamped various sentiments and I have used some Stampboard and coloured with paint, stamped and scratched on it for texture.

Behind the Pocket Letter is lots of little goodies for the recipient!!

I am entering this Pocket Letter into the following challenges:

Ching-Chou Kuik Facebook Group - Mini Challenge - Make a tag using 2 colouring mediums

 Over at the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Facebook Group there is a Mini Challenge.

To take part in the challenge you have to:

*  use a Ching-Chou Kuik image
*  make a tag
*  use 2 different colouring mediums eg copics, pencils, paints etc.

Although I am not on the Facebook Design Team I am playing along as well.
For my tag I have used the Ching-Chou Kuik image called "The Dragonfly" (The Dragonfly comes in a set of 4 images and the other 3 are called The Koi, The Seahorse and The Moth).

I have coloured my image in with Promarkers.  I have highlighted the flowers and dragonflies with my Spectrum Noir pencils.  I have added my Wink of Stella clear pen to the dragonfly wings and my white Posca pen to various areas of the image.

The blue backing paper I used to die-cut was from a set by Tracy Wray who designed this set for followers of the Art by Miran Facebook Group.

I have finished the tag off with some lace, die-cut dragonfly which I have decoupaged, some rolled paper rose, organza ribbon and a gorgeous brad from a friend.

I am entering this tag into the following challenges:

Gruffies and Guest Challenge Blog - March 2016 - Anything goes or the option of "flowers"

 Today it is time for me to show you another card for the Gruffies and Guests Challenge Blog.

 The topic for March 2016 is "anything goes with the option of flowers".

As mentioned last month there are going to be no sponsors for the Gruffies and Guests Challenge Blog.  Instead members of the Design Team will be offering prizes.
Lesley is sponsoring March's challenge and her prize will be a a rubber stamp and butterfly embellishments.  Now who wouldn't want to win that?
 I have made a card for a special aunt and also decorated a box as well as it was going to be hand delivered.  I have used this sunflower image from the Joanna Sheen House Mouse Triple CD as it is one of my favourites.  I printed off two of the design sheets so I could use the images to decoupage as well as to decorate the box.  I have used the gorgeous muted sunflowers backing paper from the CD as well.

I have finished the card off with some ribbons, die-cut sentiment, button, lace, gems and a gorgeous sunflower that I made myself.
I have finished the decorated box off with some gorgeous wood and cork backing papers that I got for Christmas, gems, sentiment off the design sheet from the CD and ribbon.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
