Jade's Sparkling Butterflies Challenge Blog - 21 January 2016 - Add a tag to your card/project

It is time for another challenge over at the Jade's Sparkling Butterflies Challenge Blog.  This fortnight the topic is "to use a tag on your card/project".
This month we are lucky to be sponsored by "The Stamping Boutique".
One thing I said I was going to do more in 2016 is to do more mixed media creations.  I have done quite a lot but there are more things I would like to try.

For my project I have used The Stamping Boutique imaged called "Guitar Digital Stamp".  I have coloured the image in with Promarkers, chalked the background, added my gold Graph'it sparkle pen to the centre of the flowers and distressed around the edge with Tim Holtz's Mustard Seed and Spiced Marmalade distress inks.

I have used a piece of corrugated card and painted over with white gesso.  Once that was dry I swiped all around the edge of the card with alternating swipes of Tim Holtz's Mustard Seed and Spiced Marmalade distress inks.

The backing papers I have used are from Summertime Designs.

One item for this project that took a while to make was my Susan Tierney sunflower.  I watched the U-tube video and got some further ideas how to do the layers.  I didn't have an orange Pan Pastel so I used the gold Pan Pastel and then on top a normal orange chalk for the centre of the sunflower petals.  The middle of the sunflower was hard with all those tiny pieces needing gluing and sticking in place - definitely a labour of love.  I've finished the flower off with some of the die-cut leaves and added dark brown chalk to the centre of the sunflower.

I have finished this project off with two tags from a "Love Letters" paper pad, ribbon, Craftwork Cards die-cut sentiment and some buttons.

I am entering this project into the following challenges:
