Sweet Pea Stamps Facebook Group - Progressive Challenge Part 2 - 23 March to 5 April 2015

It is time for Part 2 of the Sweet Pea Stamps Facebook Group Progressive Challenge.  Part 1 is whereby you get to make an "anything goes" card/creation as long as it uses a Sweet Pea Stamps image.  If you take part in Part 1 you will be sent an image free to use for Part 2.  The image given free for Part 2 is by Sweet Pea Stamps owner Lynette's daughter, Courtney McAnsh.  The image is called "Zentangle Elephant" and is available as a digital stamp and a rubber stamp.  If you didn't take part in Part 1 but want to take part in Part 2 you need to go to the Sweet Pea Stamps Store and purchase the image.
I decided to decorate a page of a large journal my son bought me last year.  I love the big pages to create on.  I have coloured the image in with my Promarkers and highlighted Stickles to add some sparkle on the elephants and also added Glossy Accents to the eyes.  I have inked around the edge with Tim Holtz's Stormy Sky distress ink and used a Sheena Douglass dot stamp with two different shades of blue chalk ink around the images.
The backing papers I have used from my stash and I had printed out a while ago so I am sorry but I have forgotten where they are from.  I kept the colour scheme very bright and cheery.

I have finished the journal page off with some Tim Holtz die-cut flowers, gems, Joanna Sheen banner die-cut, Craftwork Cards sentiment, wide lade, stitched ribbon and I have edged it all with faux stitching and the work "friends" in four corners (yes I don't like my writing but I think sometimes it is nice to hand write things on our creations).

I am entering this journal page into the following challenges:

Sweet Pea Stamps Facebook Group - Progressive Challenge Part 2 - Use the image "Zentangle Elephant" for a card/creation
Crafty Hazelnut Patterned Paper March Challenge - Anything goes
Really Reasonable Ribbon - Bright Spring colours with ribbon or twine

Happy Birthday

Here is a card and matching envelope I have made using the Debbi Moore "My Fair Lady" CD.  It can be difficult sometimes making cards if you don't know the recipient so well that you know their hobbies and likes/dislikes.  I think this CD is perfect for such people as the images would suit anyone.
For the envelope I always print something on the inside so I have chosen a black and gold paper that was on the CD.

I have finished the card and matching envelope off with some washi tape, flowers made from the scraps left over from the envelope pieces, brads, die-cut sentiment, pearl drops (using my new Tonic Studios Nuvo white crystal drops - due to the problems with the movement of my hands I struggle with Cosmic Shimmer bottles as I can hold and then squeeze them.  These ones are brilliant as you barely have to squeeze to get them out), organza ribbon and a decorative button.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Word Art Wednesday - Anything goes
Crafty Ribbons - Anything goes with ribbon
Aud Sentiments - Two word sentiment
Sister Act Card Challenge - Anything goes
Brown Sugar Challenge - Anything goes
Creative Fingers Challenge - Anything goes
CD Sunday - Sentiment
613 Avenue Create - Anything goes with optional twist of purple
Through the Craft Room Door - Anything goes
Papertake Weekly - A cut above (Marianne Designs flowers dies used to make the different layers of the flowers)

Buckwells Crafty Challenge - Mid Month Inspiration Post

Over at the "Buckwells Crafty Challenge" we have started to give you inspiration posts now throughout the month.

The challenge topic for the Buckwells Crafty Challenge for March 2015 is "Flowers".

We have two sponsors this month - A Lil Digi Heaven and Buckwell Craft Supplies.
For my card I have used the A Lil Digi Heaven image called "Estelle".  I have coloured the image in with Promarkers and stamped around the edge with a Crafter's Companion texture stamp and Tim Holtz's Mustard Seed distress ink.

The backing papers I have used were from Buckwell Craft Supplies "It's Stripes" and "Swirly Dots".

I have finished the card off with some some gold ribbon, green ribbon, die-cut flowers, brads, Cheery Lynn die-cut corner, pearls and a Craftwork Cards die-cut sentiment.

Sadly Lozzy has had to close Buckwell Craft Supplies.  The good news is that the Buckwell's Crafty Challenge WILL CONTINUE.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Happy Birthday

Here is a birthday card I have made using a Creative Crafting World CD using the amazing Pollyanna Pickering images.  This CD has wild animals on it and is called "Pollyanna Pickering World Wildlife".  There is also a "Best of Breeds" dog CD and a "British Wildlife" and they are both on my wish list.

For my card I have used a sheet of pyromage, two different backing papers and a customised insert.

I have finished the card off with a customised sentiment (this facility could be done direct onto the pyromage sheet) and some organza ribbon.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Papertake Weekly - Happy everything
Word Art Wednesday - Anything goes
Inspiration Destination - Anything goes
Crafty Ribbons - Anything goes with ribbon
Brown Sugar Challenge - Anything goes
CD Sunday - Sentiment

Happy 70th Birthday

Here is a card I have made for a friend's 70th birthday.  I am not keen on putting numbers on cards but thought sneakily putting the "70" on the number plate was fine.  The recipient didn't notice that bit until I told him!!

For the card I have used an image and papers from the bi-monthly Debbi Moore magazine.  This magazine costs £4.99 every two months and you get toppers/decoupage/pyromage/embellishments/backing papers in the magazine along with lots and lots of ideas for cards and you also get a CD as well on a totally different topic so for £4.99 it is brilliant value.

I have finished the card off with a sentiment from the magazine, stitched ribbon and some card candi.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Papertake Weekly - Happy everything
Word Art Wednesday - Anything goes
Crafting by Designs - Masculine projects
Aud Sentiments - Two word sentiment
Sister Act Card Challenge - Anything goes
Creative Fingers Challenge - Anything goes
Crafty Hazelnut Patterned Paper March Challenge - Anything goes
