Calendar 2015

This week it is the Showcase Week on the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Inspiration and Monthly Challenge Blog.  This is when we showcase cards/creations that have been entered into the Monthly Blog Challenge, entered into the Monthly Facebook Challenge, shared on the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Facebook Group or extra items made by the Design Team members.

Here is an extra item I have made:

 Here is a calendar for 2015 that I have made for a present.  I have used an MDF heart shape I got in a Michaels Store in Philadelphia.  I have covered the heart shape with some paper, sanded around the edges and then inked with Tim Holtz's Victorian Velvet distress ink.

The image I have used for my calendar is by the ever so talented Ching-Chou Kuik and it is called "Shih Tzu" and it is available from her Etsy Store along with another 75 wonderful images.  I have coloured the image in with my Promarkers.

To finish off the calendar I have added some lace, beads threaded through wire, flowers, pearls, organza ribbon and some Veletta Textured pink ribbon 25mm from Buckwell Craft Supplies.

Delicious Doodles Challenge - Friday 28 November 2014 - Let's face the music (dance)

Bearly Mine Designs Closing Down Sale

The new EU Laws come in on 1 January 2015 and this has meant that Bearly Mine Designs will be closing its doors on Wednesday 31 December 2014.

It means now that two Design Teams I am working on will be closing on 31 December 2014. 

It is very, very sad.

As from Saturday 29 November 2014 to Wednesday 31 December 2014 there will be a 50% off sale over at the Bearly Mine Designs Store.

Delicious Doodles and Delicious Darkness

Just a reminder

Delicious Doodles images can be found in the Delicious Doodles Store.  There is a vast array of wonderful images there.

If you prefer images that are on the darker side these can be found at the Delicious Darkness Store.

There is also a weekly Delicious Doodles challenge.  Pop on over to the Delicious Doodles Challenge Blog EVERY FRIDAY to see what the new what the new challenge is and to see the Design Team inspiration.  You don't have to use a Delicious Doodles image to enter but you get an extra entry to win the weekly prize if you do so that is a good incentive!!


If you fancy a challenge on the darker side you could enter the Delicious Darkness Monthly Challenge.  Pop on over to the blog for the rules and the topic for the month.

If you use Facebook then there is both a Delicious Doodles Facebook Group and a Delicious Darkness Facebook Group where you can add the creations you make using Delicious Doodles images and there is sometimes competitions as well.

Gruffies and Guests Challenge Blog and Gruffies and Guests Facebook Group

Every month there is a new challenge over at the Gruffies and Guests Challenge Blog.  

To enter the challenge you must use a House Mouse, Gruffies or Happy Hoppers image.

Pop on over to the Gruffies and Guests Challenge Blog to see the topic of the challenge and to see inspiration from the Design Team.

The Design Team on the Gruffies and Guests Challenge Blog is split up into two teams.  Team A will show you their creations on the 1st day of the month.  Team B will show you their creation on the 15th day of the month.  This means that there is a good excuse to pop on over to the Challenge Blog at least twice a month to see the inspiration from the Design Team.

If you use Facebook why not pop on over to the Gruffies and Guests Facebook Group.  Here you can have a good natter and show your House Mouse, Happy Hoppers and Gruffies creations.

Bearly Mine Design and the Bearly Mine Inspiration and Challenge Blog

Clean and Simple Christmas Card

Here is a Clean and Simple (CAS) Christmas card that I have made using some linen effect decoupage I got for Christmas last year from a year.  I have used a free border embossing folder from a magazine to use as a back-drop for the decoupage.  I have inked around the edge with Tim Holtz's Fired Brick distress ink.

The card has been simply finished off with some peel-off gems.

This might be a card/creation entered into the blog monthly challenge, added to the Facebook Group, entered into the Facebook Group Monthly Challenge or an additional item made by a member of the Design Team.

Sad News - Delicious Doodles and Delicious Darkness

Teri has done a post on the Delicious Darkness Blog today to announce that come 31 December 2014 the Delicious Doodles and Delicious Darkness Stores will be closing.

We will however be able to purchase Delicious Doodles images from:

Delicious Darkness images will now be available as part of the Smeared Ink family, under Teri's own name - Teri Sherman:

This will be the first of many digital stores to close due to the new VAT ruling.
