It is a special day in our household today. It is our youngest son's 18th birthday. Well that does make us feel old!! Steven loves basketball so he had to have a basketball themed card. I have done the front of the card with a more serious image whereas the back of the card and the insert is a more of a fun image.
For the front of the card I have used an image from CraftsUPrint from Deborah Beatty called "Shooting Hoops". The letters and the character playing basketball were not the easiest of things to cut out but with these decoupaged it certainly looks better. The backing paper I have used with basketballs all over it is from Debbi Moore's Sports Bears CD (sadly I think this CD might be retired on its own now as I can't seem to find it on Debbi's website but it can be found here as part of a five CD collection).
The back of the card has an image from the ever so talented Gordon Fraser and is called "Basketball Dude". I have decoupaged the image.
I have used on the inside of the card Gordon Fraser's "Basketball Dude Insert".
I have finished off the card with sentiments off the design sheets, sentiment off the computer, lots of basketballs cut out of the backing paper and some card candi.
