Just to let you all know I am still about in Craft Land but on Friday I had surgery for bilateral carpal tunnel decompression. I shall be out of action for a few weeks and then will gradually be able to do more with my hands and hopefully in time I won't need to wear my wrist supports anymore.
UPDATE:
The surgery went well. I had bandages to keep on for 48 hours and now just dressings over the stitches which I have to keep dry until next Tuesday when the stitches come out. Then back to see the surgeon in 4 weeks' time.
I knew the recovery period wasn't going to be easy as I can't even pour a drink but it continues to be tougher than I thought. It will settle down I know.
I'm bored already. I can't craft. With my dodgy eyes I can't read and there is only so much TV you can watch.
Roll on being able to craft and to be able to return to work.
I hope you recover quickly Kym. Will miss your work, but don't try to do things too soon.
ReplyDeleteI can sympathise with you, a few years ago I was too sick to do anything except lay in bed in dreadful pain and listen to the radio, so I know how frustrating it is for you.
