Ahoy Matey!!!

I was lucky to win a challenge recently that one of the sponsors was The Stamping Chef.  My prize was to pick three images.  Yikes - that was a difficult one as there were so many amazing images.  In the end I went out of my comfort zone and went for this fun image called "Hello Sailor!".

I have coloured my image in with my Promarkers as they are feeling very unloved.  I have given her some bright hair courtesy of one of my all time favourite Promarkers, Raw Sienna (also including Burnt Sienna and Cocoa).

I have fussy cut around the image so I could lay her strategically on the top desk of the boat.

  

Apart from the image, another focal point of my card is the boat which is from the ever so talented Bird's Cards.  On Bird's Cards website you will fine free templates and cutting files.  Oh if I had a cutting machine for some of the intricate shapes I'd be a happy girl but I was still very happy to find a boat template I could use and easily cut out.  It can be found here.

I have printed the boat out onto card and then stuck the two parts onto two Bearly Mine Designs papers from the Plain and Simple set and from the Mini Dots set.  I cut out the window of the boat and added a piece of acetate.

I then tore up strips of a blue Bearly Mine Designs Plain and Simple paper to look like waves behind the boat.

The striped backing paper, ribbon border and all the sentiment additions are from my Debbi Moore Shabby Chic Seaside CD.
