Thank You

Here is a thank you card I have made using two images from the Polkadoodles Work and Play CD3 that I bought recently.  This digital stamp chap in his deckchair and the lady in her towel I thought would be ideal to use at the seaside.

For the seaside elements I have used various stamps from the "Seashore Scenes" set by Chocolate Baroque which I have had for some years now.

I have coloured the image and the background with my Graph'it pens.  I didn't have a light enough blue for the sky so I used 7125 (Sky) and 9101 (Cool Grey 1) on my Graph'it blending palette and my blending solution and managed to make a lighter colour.  I have highlighted areas with the white Graph'it pen and the silver glitter shake Graph'it pen.
I have added some elements on the front, inside and the back of the card (the picture above shows the back of the card) from the Debbi Moore Shabby Chic Seaside CD - you'd never guess this was one of my favourite Debbi's CDs she's made would you???

The card has been finished off with some string (to look like rope), various die-cut shells brushed over with some yellow and brown Pan Pastels, shell ribbon and sentiment off a Debbi Moore Shabby Chic Garden Decoupage in a Box CD.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Graph'it Challenge - Friday 27 June 2014 - Anything goes with a marker

Recently Nikky Hall asked people if they wanted to be Guest Designers over at the Graph'it Challenge.  I entered and I was amazed that I was offered a Guest Design Team position for two challenges.  I chose a challenge in May and my post can be found here and the challenge going "live" today.

I am very sad that my Guest Design Team role has come to an end but I have loved working with a lovely bunch of talented crafters and of course I don't need an excuse to play/craft with my new "love in my life" my Graph'it pens.  As I said last time I never imagined anything could replace my love of Promarkers.  I make my cards solely to sell to raise funds for different charities and therefore I can't have everything craft-wise I would love to have.  I waited and waited and then tried a few and couldn't get over how good they are.  I was amazed at the depth of colour, how well they blended and the cost.  Nikky Hall has also brought out a DVD on tips on how to use them so that has gone on my wish list as everyone can always learn something new.

I have decided that my last Guest Design Team project would be a labour of love as I have made a calendar for 2015 and everytime I look at it I shall remember being part of this Design Team for a few challenges.

The Graph'it Challenge for this fortnight is "anything goes with makers" so that's a nice easy one for you to play along with.

Right are you ready to see what I have made.  I have used lots of different Polkadoodles CDs and some digital stamps along with backing papers from magazines, some of the CDs, what I have been given and some from Wellington Bear.
This image is printed from the Polkadoodles Fredericka CD.
This image is printed from the Polkadoodles Bonbon Belles CD.

Outline of images - 7105, 9101, K (black).

As you can see I have finished off the pages of the calendar with banners, buttons, card candi, dazzlers, decorative paperclip, die-cuts, distress inksembossed backgrounds, fibres, flowers, gems, lace, Pan Pastels, Papermania Glitterations, pearls, peel-offs, ribbon bow, stamped elements, stickers, tissue paper flowers.

It would be lovely if you could pop on over to the Graph'it Challenge and see all the wonderful creations by the Design Team.

Good Luck in Your New Job

Here is a card and matching box I have made using Debbi Moore's New York CD.
The box is on the CD but I had to decorate the inside and outside - well you can't have a posh card and not a posh box can you?
As you can see from the box I have adorned it with some images from the CD, ribbon, pearls on a string, sentiment off the computer, gems and Papermania Glitterations.
Inside the box there is a concertina style card.  All the images whether they be design sheets or toppers or decoupage are all from the CD along with the backing papers.
It certainly wasn't a quick card and box to make as it took some time just cutting out all the images let alone planning on how to put the card together.
Various pages have been left blank so that people can sign the card.

As you can see there is lots of bling.

Embellishments are used from the CD along with border strips.
The completed article - card in a decorated box.

If you haven't got this CD it certainly a wonderful CD to use for many different occasions.

I am entering this card and matching box into the following challenges:

Suzy Bee's Blooming Challenge - Anything goes
Brown Sugar Challenge - Dots and/or stripes
Creative Fingers - Anything goes
