Another New Technique - Colouring a no line drawing

Over on Create and Craft this last week-end they had their Spectrum Week-end which was to try to get people to try new things/try new techniques.

As you will see from my previous post I tried colouring with markers and then highlighting with pencils.  On Sunday I saw a card that the ever so talented Nic (aka Coops) made using the no line technique.  I popped on over to the Crafting When We Can Blog and saw that Ang had done a wonderful tutorial on how to change the image in Word so I followed, printed off and started colouring.  Yikes!!!  I wanted to bin the image many times.  I certainly found it a lot harder than with the normal black lines.  Hey ho what is a challenge if it's not a challenge sometime to do?
Please be very gentle with me.  It's my first attempt at the no lines technique.  I'd do a few things differently next time.

The image I have used is called "Emo Valentine Fairy" and is available from Delicious Doodles.  If you would like this image as a rubber stamp it is available at Sweet Pea Stamps.  I have coloured the image in with my Graph'it pens, highlighted areas with my white Graph'it pen and silver sparkle Graph'it pen.

The backing papers I have used are Bearly Mine Designs Mini Dots and Black and White Essentials.

I have finished the card off with some ribbon, web punched border using a Martha Stewart punch, metal skull charm, Craftwork Cards die-cut sentiment and some black gems.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Crafting When We Can - No lines technique
Sweet Pea Stampers - Things with wings
Stampin' for the Week-end - For the girls
Left of Centre - Girly
Pile it On - Metal
