Over at the East Wind Challenge Blog the topic this time is "Spring". This means to me blues, yellows and oranges as spring brings up flowers like daffodils and tulips.
I have used the freebie image of the month. Isn't she gorgeous? I have coloured her in with my Graph'it pens, used a handmade stencil around the edge with a turquoise blue Pan Pastel to give a zig-zag effect. I have coloured over the butterfly and flowers with my clear Wink of Stella glitter pen. The backing papers are from Happy Days and were on a CD free with a magazine last year.
I have stamped some tissue paper with some scroll stamps, die-cut with a scallop circle, scrunched them up and held the eight layers together with a small brad. You get the effect of a large flower but not the weight of one made with paper/card so this helps with the cost of postage.
I have finished the card off with some wide lace, die-cut sentiment, flowers, gems, bunting banner and little butterflies from a Joanne Sheen confetti die.
