Birthday Wishes

Here is a card I have made for a special friend for her birthday using a Sweet Pea Stamps image by Norma J Burnell called "Olivia and Peter".  It is available as a digital stamp and a rubber stamp.

I have coloured my image in with my Graph'it pens and gone for a colour scheme of pink and turquoise.  I have inked around the image with Tim Holtz's Victorian Velvet and Broken China distress ink.  The backing papers are from my Perfect Papercrafting Companions CD.  On the mount underneath the image I have used a Visible Image stamp set called "Time After Time" and I have used the set of two cogs and inked with Broken China distress ink.  Next came distressing around the image, mounts and all the backing papers with my Tim Holtz distressing tool.  In places I then used a pair of scissors to make the paper rip so I could fold back the paper - that is certainly distressing to the max!!!  I then used my X-cut cog dies and then coloured the die-cut cogs with some pearlescent pens in pink and turquoise as I thought this made them look distressed.

I have finished the card off with some die-cut flowers, die-cut sentiment (which has been distressed with my Tim Holtz distressing tool), buttons, pearl drops and some ribbon.
