I find it so sad that we are all having to cutback on either sending cards or making cards as "flat as pancakes" because of the cost of sending them. Here is a card I have made using a Sweet Pea Stamps image by Ching-Chou Kuik called "Cherish Christmas". It is available as a digital stamp, and a single rubber stamp.
I have coloured my image in with my Graph'it pens. The backing papers I was given. I have finished the card off with a sentiment off the Perfect Companions Christmas CD, poinsettias, washi tape and glitter swirl.
I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Very pretty card, Kym! I totally agree with you about the postage cost of mailing cards...it's very sad - sending someone a piece of happy mail shouldn't cost an arm and a leg! Thanks so much for joining us at 4 Crafty Chicks this week :)
ReplyDeleteClean, simple and wonderful layout! Fantastic image! Thank you so much for sharing your amazing creation with us for our Christmas Challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks.
ReplyDeleteAmazing cards as always, i just love looking at your cards and all the great images you have, they are always so inspiring and colored excellently down to the last detail. I no what you mean about postage costs, spend more sending it than making it, i have kept my chunky cards as i call them for just handing out now and basic one,s for posting.

ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful and very different card. Love the light around the candle she's holding and the great backing paper. Until you really look at it, you wouldn't automatically register 'Christmas card' and I like that about it.
I hope you will visit us again and join in more of our future challenges. Things are changing in the new year, so keep your eyes open for details.

I love how you mentioned being frustrated with "pancake" cards, but that card is relatively flat and yet it looks so textured and dimensional. Well done! Thanks for sharing at Craft Your Passion. Hope you join us again.
