Here is a Halloween card I have made using a Sweet Pea Stamps image by the very talented Rebecca Sinz. The image is called "All Hallows Eve". It is available as a digital stamp, single rubber stamp or as part of a multi-image plate (Sheet 8, Plate 223 - All Hallows Eve comes on the multi-image plate with Blue Companion, Silken Threads and Gothic Moon).
I have coloured the digital stamp in with my Promarkers/Flexmarkers, highlighted areas with my Pan Pastels, used my Tim Holtz distressing tool around the edge and then used my Tim Holtz Balck Soot distress ink to highlight the distressing.
The backing papers I have used I won in some blog candy recently from Michele (her blog is amazing if you fancy a look!!). The papers are called "Fright Night" and are by Whimsy Stamps. I've had many paper packs/pads before but I was seriously impressed in the quality of these papers. I like to use my Tim Holtz distressing tool around the edges of papers sometimes but a lot of bought papers wouldn't cope with this whereas these would. Fantastic quality.
I have made some of my own backing paper for this card by rubbing different colours of distress inks (Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed, Dusty Concord, Peeled Paint and Black Soot) onto a piece of card. I then spritzed with water and then dropped over bronze and gold mica powder over in areas for a bit of shine. I did two of these A4 sheets and left to dry for a few days and now they are so sparkly and such wonderful colours and I'll have plenty to use over the next few weeks.

The card has been finished off with some raffia ribbon, sentiment off the computer with staples holding on some scraps of gingham ribbon, decorative clip, buttons with bats cut out from a Summertime Designs backing paper held on with some wire to make it look like they are flying around the page.

Hmm, on All Hallows Eve I like to stay cosied up at home Kym - I'm certainly not as brave as your image, especially as your 'distressing' of the paper adds significantly to the dark spookiness of the night - what a lovely touch that is. A big wow goes to your home-made backing paper - it's stunning and I'm looking forward to seeing it on future cards. Good luck in our challenge this week. Ingrid xx (OSAAT Team)
