Make no bones about it ....... Christmas is coming!!!!!

Well I have used traditional Christmas colours but certainly a non-traditional image!!!  I think this card would be perfect for a teenager.  I told my eldest son it looked like him in the mornings but he said it was his brother!!!

This image is by the ever so talented Teri from Delicious Doodles and this image is available from Stitchy Bear Digital Stamps and is called "Skully Santa".  I have coloured the image with Promarkers and highlighted areas with a white gel pen.  The backing papers were all given to me last year.  The card has been finished off with a metal skull charm, twine and sentiment generated on the computer.

Another Thank You Card

This is a thank you card made with a Ching Chou-Kuik's Sweet Pea Stamps image called "Winter Watcher" and if you are impatient it's now available as a digital image from Sweet Pea Stamps.  I have used various backing papers I was given last year so I don't know their origin.  I have stamped the image on watercolour paper with Tim Holtz's Chipped Sapphire distress ink pad and then bled out the colour.  I've also highlighted areas with Tim Holtz's Faded Jeans distress ink pad and then tore around the edge and used ink again to highlight the tear.  The embellishments I have used are some butter muslin (which I have frayed the edges of which took some time), flowers with star brads for their centres, buttons, gems, Card Candi, Craftwork Cards die-cut sentiment and gingham ribbon bow.

This is a large 8x8 Christmas card with the Best of La Pashe 2012 CD.  The backing papers I have used are Bearly Mine Designs Festive Fun.
I have kept the card quite flat by using double-sided tape on the layers and only adding foam pads to the holly and ivy borders and sentiment.  I have added my Sakura Stardust clear pen to areas to add some sparkle, added Glossy Accents to the berries and finished off with some Papermania Glitterations.

Thank You Card

This is a card I have made with papers I was given by a blogging friend last year.  I have used a Dilly Bean Stamps image called "Pinky's Skull Bow" and coloured in with Promarkers.  The feathery paper was white, purple and silver but I used my black Pan Pastel to change the background to black to match the colour scheme better.  I have mounted the image on a Toni die-cut circle which I have coloured to match with Promarkers and stamped with a See D's dotty stamp in black.  The card has been finished off with some raffia ribbon, satin ribbon, skull charm, Craftwork Cards die-cut sentiment and Papermania Glitterations.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Sweet Stamps - Thank you
Penny's Paper Challenge - So thankful - give thanks
Milk Coffee Challenge - Thanksgiving, thankful or thank you

Delicious Doodles Challenge

Over at the Delicious Doodles Challenge this week the topic is "something that flies".  I have used a Delicious Doodles image called "Holly Fairy" and coloured in with Promarkers, highlighted areas with my Sakura Stardust clear pen and added a cloud background with Pan Pastels and a piece of card torn with a wavy tearing ruler.  The backing papers I was given so I am ensure as to where they have come from.  The card has been finished off with some holly acetate I was given (I am not sure if this is by Dawn Bibby), poinsettias, ribbon, gold ribbon bow, brads, red pearls and a sentiment which was a freebie in a magazine last year.  My apologies for the poor photo - it took over 20 to get this one due to the acetate!!!

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Delicious Doodles - Something that flies
Papertake Weekly - Ribbons and pearls
Whimsy Stamps - Use traditional Christmas colours
Inky Impressions - Make it girly
Delightful Sketches - Red and green
Christmas Card Throwdown - Pearls
Crazy 4 Challenge - Put a bow on it
Top Tip Tuesday - Kids and teens - I am entering this for a TOP TIP as well.  We all like to use torn paper and use either with distress inks, chalks, Pan Pastels etc to make clouds/hills but if you are like me sometimes it won't tear just where you want it to and the clouds/hills look a mess.  I tried using a tearing ruler I've had for some years with small waves and large waves.  The small waves are perfect for smaller images needing clouds/hills where the large wave is perfect for larger images needing clouds/hills.

I have done lots of different layers and different shapes and punches out a decorative edge with a Martha Stewart lattice border punch.  I have inked some die-cut flowers (Tim Holtz die) with yellow, orange and brown distress ink and put together with a brad for some dimension.  I have finished the card off with Papermania Glitterations, die-cut sentiment and ribbon.

Aud Sentiments Challenge - 22 November 2012 - BINGO Board

It is time for another challenge over at the Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog.  This time we have been challenged to use the BINGO board below.  You have to pick a column, row or diagonal and use the three items in that row on your card/creation.  If for example you use the diagonal "ribbon-bling-snow" you must also use a sentiment as we are a sentiments challenge.

This fortnight we are being sponsored by The Paper Shelter and the lucky winner will win a $20 gift certificate to spend in their store.
For my card I have used a backing paper and pre-coloured image of Santa and his reindeer.  The backing paper I printed off three time so I could decoupage the corner pictures.  I've edged the paper with a green pan Pastel - certainly easier than ink blending.  I have fussy cut around the Santa and reindeer.  I have finished the card off with some pearls, Stickles glitter glue, Craftwork Cards sentiment, peel-off corners, gems, raffia ribbon and a little wooden star embellishment.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

House Mouse Christmas Card

This is a House Mouse card I made for my aunt and uncle.  I had 20+ years when they were not in my lives and now I only have to go a couple of days before we speak.  I have used various House Mouse images that have been decoupaged.
On the first page and third page I designed a backing paper myself using various See D's stamps.  I love these and would love to have as I find them so useful.  The other papers are from my stash.  The image on the front page and the sentiment on the third page has been mounted onto a 6x6 embossed frame.  I have used a holly die to make the holly embellishments.  The front page has been finished off with some ribbon, pearls, large poinsettia flowers, sentiment off the computer, metal sentiment and some gingham bows.
On the second page the page has been adorned with some 3D baubles and a Christmas tree.  The third page has been finished off with some Marianne Designs Creatables corners, Hunkydory sentiment which I got for Christmas last year, holly, pearls and a little metal gingerbread man.
The final page of this 8x8 card has been finished off with a Marianne Designs Creatables corner die, holly, pearls and sentiment off the House Mouse decoupage sheet.
