Crafty Ann's Challenge - 28 September 2012 - Be Inspired by a Film Title

Today sees a new challenge over at Crafty Ann's Challenge Blog.  This time the challenge is "be inspired by a film title".

I have to admit when I saw this topic I wanted to run and hide.  I am no good with things like this.  I then had a think and went with "The Snowman" film.

I have used Crafty Ann's snowman digital image and coloured him with Promarkers.  All of the backing papers are from the new Trad-temporary Christmas Scrapbook Kit of Crafty Ann's.  I thought they made a different colour card for Christmas.  The card has been finished off with some Papermania Glitterations, Crafty Ann's ticket sentiment, Crafty Ann's blue poinsettias which I have put blue brads in the centre and the snow underneath the snowman and in the sky is white Cosmic Shimmer glue.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Birthday Card

This is a birthday card I had made with some K&Co backing papers and a gorgeous Joanna Sheen Gruffies Beary Good Times decoupage.  Isn't this bear sweet asleep in his hammock - maybe when he should have been doing jobs for Mummy Bear!!!  The card has been finished off with a piece of a Tonic doily die cut/embossed/inked around the edges, leaves cut with various X-cut leaf punches in different colours, lace, small sunflowers and a sentiment which I've had for maybe 3-4 years.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Aud Sentiments Challenge - 27 September 2012 - Fall

Today sees the start of another fortnight challenge at the Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog.  This time the topic is "use a sentiment that has the word "fall" in it".
This fortnight we are being sponsored by Digital Delights and they are offering a $5 certificate for the winning card/project.
For my card I have used an image called "Mr Straw" and with artistic license I have coloured in autumn colours with my Promarkers and Mr Straw has become Mrs Straw!!!  The backing papers I have used are Bearly Mine Designs Happy Hauntings and Bearly Mine Designs Gingham which I have distressed the edges of.

The backing papers are Bearly Mine Designs Gingham and Bearly Mine Designs The Boys Zone.  The card has been finished off with adding yellow and blue Pan Pastels to the base card, some wavy ribbon, card candi, peel-off sentiment, shells and a 3D boat which I've had for some years now.

Another Scrapbook Page

My husband was away for 7 weeks in the summer to help out with the Olympics/Paralympics in London.  My youngest son was left in charge of his dad's beloved garden.  This is a photo he took of one of dad's flowers that had come out.  Isn't it gorgeous??
For the layout of my page I used the sketch for the Digitally Sweet Challenge this week.  I don't often use sketches but had a little play with this one and the page is what I came up with.

I have used various Daisy Trail kits as follows:  Happy Easter (crochet frame), Swirling Memories (lace) and Hawaii (small orange and yellow flowers used as decoration).  The swirls and dots are from My Craft Studio Flourishes CD.

The backing paper is from Bearly Mine Designs Summer's Lace Dreams and the two pieces of spotted paper cut into ribbons is Bearly Mine Designs Mini Dots.

I am entering this page into the following challenges:

Digitally Sweet - Layout Challenge
Inspire me Friday - Anything goes
CD Sunday - Awash with flowers

Commissioned Birthday Card

This is a card I made earlier in the year for a customer's mum and dad to give to their grand-daughter on her 18th birthday.
Here is the box I made for the card to go in which I decorated inside and out.
The CD that I used for this card and box was Debbi Moore's New York CD.
The card is A4 sized and I stuck the edge together, punched holes and added some ribbon and a charm for decoration.
The pages are filled with baking papers, decoupage sheets and items from the topper sheets from the CD.

The card has been finished with various items like gems, pearls, Papermania Glitterations, ribbon, fibres, personalised insert and charm.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Ooh-la-la-Creations - If the shoe fits
Paper Pretties - Use ribbon
Moving Along with the Times - Make it girly prim and proper
Inspire me Friday - Anything goes

Birthday Card

This is a card made with papers from a Tim Holtz paper pad which I've had for two years and I can't really bear to use - sound familiar eh?  I have distressed around the papers with Vintage Photo Distress ink pad.  The image is "Elly Framed" and is from Dilly Bean Stamps.  It has been coloured in with Promarkers and a whte gel pen.  The card has been finished off with some flowers cut from the Debbi Moore Art Deco Rome CD with brad centres, leaves cut out from scraps of card using three different X-cut leaf punches, striped ribbon, embossed card with a cog dimension, pearls and a sentiment.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Scrapbook Page

Well Blogger has now converted to the new version for me now.  Not sure how I'll get on with it as I don't do change very well but I will give it a good go.  I have made this totally digital scrapbook page using Craft Artist Professional 2.  The backing papers are the Country Collection from Bearly Mine Designs and this collection includes tags, tickets and the different flowers I have used on this page.
The image of the little girl is a freebie from Magic Moonlight Free Images and I have put it into an intelligent frame from the freebie Day Dreams that came with Craft Artist Professional 2.  The "with love" also comes from this same kit in the form of the letters.

I am entering this scrapbook page into the following challenges:

Cards made previously but not blogged

Here are some cards I made a while back but never got around to blogging.

I have made this card using Bearly Mine Designs The Boys Zone (it just shows that although this set is called The Boys Zone you can see it is perfect for any type of card) backing papers and also the Bearly Mine Designs Mini Dots for the punched flowers.

The image is from Dilly Bean Stamps and is called "Pinky's Skull Bow" and I have coloured this image in with my Spectrum Noirs for a change:

Skin - FS6, FS3 and FS2
Dress/hairband/eyes - BT5
Hair - EB8, EB7, EB5 and EB2

The card has been finished off with a Marianne Designs Anja corner die and Marianne Designs elegance scroll, Craftwork cards sentiment, lace, punched flowers with acrylic pearl paint centres and some pearls.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Through the Craft Room Door - Anything goes
The Paper Shelter - Punch it

This is a card I made for a colleague's birthday.  I chose the topic of Paris as this was where she was going for her birthday.
The majority of the images I used were from Debbi Moore's Art Deco Paris Triple CD-Rom.  It is such a gorgeous CD and brought back memories of going there for my 30th birthday.
The Eiffel Tower picture here and on top of the box were a download from Cajoline Scrap.
The card is a 6x6 concertina card and I put different images on each side along with lots of different embellishments.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Paper Pretties - Create a birthday card
Crafty Ribbons - Vintage
Try it on Tuesday - Anything goes

This is a card I made for a customer using a digital download from CraftsUPrint.  I cut out the various elements on the sheet and did a collage effect as the recipient of this card loves the occasional drink.  I distressed all the edges of the toppers.  The backing papers were from my stash.  The card is finished off with some brads, peel-off's and card candi.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Hooked on Crafts - Cards for men
Cards for Men - Going digital

Earlier this year my aunt asked me to make her a card for her great-grandson who loves dogs so this dalmatian image I had on a CD just spoke to me.  The paw backing paper is from the Joanna Sheen Furry Friends CD.
The card is finished off with some ribbon, sentiment and insert off the computer and some Papermanie Glitterations.  I tend to keep cards for young children as embellishment free as possible as young hands tend to fiddle a lot.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

One Stitch at a Time - For an under 18's
Craft Punked - Pets
