The challenge topic this fortnight is "make yourself uncomfortable" which means stepping out of your comfort zone by using a technique or colour combo (or both) that you usually avoid. As soon as I saw this "acetate card" came to mind - I like the effect but I hate all the messing around getting the layers front and back both sides in line so no workings can be seen.
All I will say is that my card nearly went in the bin so many times. I used a piece of acetate designed by Dawn Bibby that a crafty friend gave me some years ago to form the card base. As I have had so many problems with My Craft Studio not printing now to the printer I have had for a few years I have had to "bite the bullet" and try using another software package so I am trying to get used to Craft Artist. It will take me some time I know but I took in some of Crafty Ann's flower embossed backing papers, some polished stone backing papers, a new gold frame, a new butterfly, added some buttons/bows/ribbon and hey presto the card was ready to be coloured in with my Promarkers. I then used some spare paper and made some paper flowers with a die-cut along with making some butterflies with a die-cut.
I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Craft Your Days Away - make your own flowers
Cupcake Inspiration - Photo inspiration
