New Challenge Blog Starting - Forever Night

I noticed that a new challenge blog started yesterday called Forever Night Challenges.  Click here to go and have a look.  Their first challenge is entitled "Skull-tastic".  It's not my normal style of card but it's good to come out of your comfort zone at times and with the help of Teri at Delicious Doodles I could do just that as I got this Steampunk Fairy.  

I have coloured the image with various shades of grey and ivory for the skin and distressed the edges with Tim Holtz's Black Soot distress ink pad.  I used my new Creative Inspirations metal effect mask and embossed it onto some black Coredinations and then sanded it.  The circle is a black DVD safety cover which I decided to get my alcohol inks out of their cobwebs and use.  I like the effect it gave but think I would have preferred it with a silver mixative rather than gold but that's on my wish list.  I have inked up some corner and flourish chipboards with a black Brilliance ink pad.  The tag has been finished off with a black feather, organza ribbon, skull charm, metal decorate clips and some buttons.
