Crafty Ann's Challenge - 1 July 2011 - Get well/thinking of you/just because

At Crafty Ann's another fortnight has also come and gone and I apologise again for not commenting on cards.

The topic this fortnight for Crafty Ann's is "get well/thinking of you/just because".  I decided to use Crafty Ann's sewing set and carefully coloured in with promarkers and cut out.  The reel of cotton I thread real cotton onto it for an extra effect.  The backing papers are Crafty Ann's embossed dots.  The bird image is a material image which I stuck onto some card.

This card I am entering into the following challenges:

One Stop Craft - Get well soon
Crafty Pad - Bold/bright or soft pastels
A Spoon Full of Sugar - Get well soon
Top Tip Tuesday - T is for ............... - tape measure

  5. Hi Kym, I just popped across from Crafty Ann's challenge blog and I am so sorry to hear the sad news about your mum. I hope you don't mind me posting this but I just couldn't read and not comment because I know too well how devastated you must be to lose your mum. In fact our stories are very similar. I lost my dad in a similar way in Oct 2008. He was coming up to 61 and was found collapsed at home after suffering a severe stroke. He was transferred to our local hospital but a week later he had a massive bleed to the brain. He was transferred to Addenbrooke's Hospital but sadly it was too late because swelling to the brain had damaged the brain stem. We also agreed for his organs to be transplanted which I am pleased to say was successful.

I am thinking of you and your family at this sad time.

    Hugs
