The Crafty Purple Frog - 2/12/10

Firstly, can I say a big thank you for all the kind comments about my tooth.  As yet the antibiotics haven't kicked in but they have made my stomach unwell but hey ho.  I haven't really done any crafting apart from putting a few finishing touches to cards.  Instead I had a little row of cards waiting to go on my blog which I've had to go through yesterday and today otherwise I'd miss deadlines for challenges.  I've only been able to sit for short periods as my face hurts so much.  If it wasn't so serious it would be funny!!!!

Over at the Crafty Purple Frog the topic this fortnight is easel cards.  I've had two entries almost finished bar sticking stuff on with Pinflair so I've finished both today thus avoiding missing the deadline for this challenge!!!

I have used my The Crafty Purple Frog decoupage image of Northern Most Serenity.  Amy does design pyromage sheets but I still prefer doing "normal" decoupage.  I have used some papers from the Artylicious Decadent Brocade CD as I didn't have any blue scraps enough to cover the base and front of the easel.  I have simply decoupaged the image, laid it on top of a doily and made a little flower arrangement, adding Stickles to the edge of the flowers and parts of the decoupage image.  I have used some die-cut shapes for the stopper of the easel card and finally added some peel-offs, ribbon some star gems.

This card fits the following challenges:

Top Tip Tuesday - Ribbon
City Crafter - let it snow
Craft Your Passion - Anything goes
Spoon Full of Sugar - Christmas card
Creative Card Crew - Anything goes
Little Red Wagon - Use a die-cut

Character Cafe - Glitter, glitter, glitter
Creative Inspirations - Anything goes Christmas
Stamping Vacation - Monochromatic Colour Challenge - Blues
