Card for Thirteen Challenges

Well I have just managed to finish my Mother's Day card off today.  I've spent countless hours on it including cutting and sticking together a bit and having to re-do again - thank heavens for things on CDs or downloads.  I have used a gorgeous Beatrix Potter free download for this card and it is one that has a pyromage part and also normal decoupage.  The images and colours are gorgeous.  I have used various backing papers that I printed off in the summer and never used along with cardstock bits-and-pieces.  The card is adorned with bought paper flowers but I have also made some of my own flowers after seeing a tutorial by the wonderful Jak Heath using die-cut scallops in different sizes with the Nestabilities die (not that my flowers came out looking anything like hers but I will try again sometime).  The inside of the card where the back of the pyromage is I inked over with three different Tim Holtz Distress Inks and then put a yellow Cosmic Shimmer over the top (I saw Tim use mica powder so used the Cosmic Shimmer and it gave a lovely shiny effect - thanks Tim).  The card is finished off with a peel-off, a sentiment designed in My Craft Studio, some mother of pearl buttons with raffia through them (yes I pinched it from hubby's box in the kitchen.  It has been used but OK), some real pressed flowers from Joanna Sheen's website and some gingham ribbon (yes I might need some therapy as my gingham ribbon stash is going down).

This card fits the following challenges:

Crafty Creations - Make your own flowers
Rainbow Lady's Challenge - Mother's Day
Pixie Dust - Buttons and flowers
Quirky Crafts - Buttons
Totally Papercrafts - Things with wings (birds on the card)
Challenge up your life - Flowers
La--La-Land Challenge - Pastel Colours
Creatalicious Challenge - Create a Little Something
Crafty Calendar - Flower Power
Totally Gorjuss - Something sweet
Saturday Challenge - Anything goes
Spoon Full of Sugar - Use something recycled (raffia pinched from hubby's box in the kitchen.  It has been used but OK).
