To say I was delighted but a little worried to accept the role of Guest Designer for February was an under-statement as I wasn't sure my cards would be good enough. This weeks' topic is "If music be the food of love...........". Then came the dilemma of what to make and I deliberated with a few designs before deciding on this one.
For this card I have used some backing paper and peel-offs from my stash, the heart backing paper (from Crafty Ann's Digishop - embossed hearts - autumn) and I have printed out the Electric Guitar image (again from Crafty Ann's Digishop) and coloured it in with Promarkers. I have then used an old freebie CD and coloured it with alcohol inks for the backdrop of the guitar to sit onto (something I'd not done with alcohol inks before). I then finished off the card with a sentiment off the computer and some fibres.
Please visit Crafty Ann's Challenge Blog and look at all the Design Team cards and if you have time take part in this challenge as I'd love to see what other people come up with being given the title "If music be the food of love ........".
Many thanks to Ann for giving me the opportunity of being a Guest Designer as I have really enjoyed the experience.

The thanks should be the other way around Kym - many thanks for joining us and giving us such beautiful work to showcase on the challenge blog.
ReplyDeleteThis is a fabulous card, and the alcohol inked CD is the perfect backdrop for the image - it'll be a lucky person who receives this.
