Commissioned Birthday Card

I was asked to make a birthday card for one of my customer's friends with the topic of handbags, shoes, shopping etc.  I am not a typical female as I hate all three of these so when she said the topic I said "oh no".  I get the same when buses, trains or tigers are mentioned but hey ho it had to be done.

I have used a Dottie's World digital download from the Girls About Town and have used some of the backgrounds, some of the characters and some sentiments.  I have made a border down the side of the card with some stickers a friend gave me as they came into the theme of things.  I have distressed the backing papers and image with a sandy Versamagic ink pad.  I bought some chain to use on my cards recently.  I love the look of the floaty feeling with charms added but it nearly took me as long to attach them than it did to make the whole card!!!  You'll notice there is a tad difference to the first and second photo.  After taking photos I decided I didn't like the hang of the charms on the fibres so I changed to ribbon but then forgot to re-take a picture of the inside.

This card fits the following challenges:

Penny's Paper Challenge - Birthday
Pixie Dust Studio Pixie Challenge - Charms
Cute Card Thursday - Metal Mania
Little Paper Shop Challenge - Distressing
Daring Cardmakers Challenge - Winter birthday.
