I was made aware of a new challenge blog this week, the Saturday Spotlight With Hidden Potential Challenge Blog. Their topic this week was "dress up those trees".
For my card I have used a see-through glitzy stitched peel-off which I have stuck on some background paper I made by swirling Distress Inks around by using cut-and-dry foam and then by spritzing the card with some perfect pearls mixed with water - messy but it looked good. I then have stitched around the edge and added beads in places to dress up the tree - for those of you that know me, yes, I did sew around the edge and add beads with my dodgy eyes!!! I have used some green backing card I was given, some more of the handmade paper I made and the tree backing paper is from the recent Create and Craft free gift whereby you only have to pay the P&P and the CD was some lovely traditional and contemporary Christmas papers.
Kym this is a great way to dress your tree.. We are so glad you joined us this week and hope to see you again at Saturday Spotlight.
