I had my first go at a Challenge this week and decided to make a card for the Joanna Sheen Weekly Card Challenge which had the topic of French Chic. I used a pyromage CD with a picture of a little French girl on it and did some matting with a Cuttlebug swirl embossing folder, TRES CHIC dome stickers stuck on and some fibres.
I was asked to make a card for a friend's aunt and uncle who will be celebrating their 1st wedding anniversary soon. As I'd made three other cards for this couple, two using Joanna Sheen's Fashion Boutique, I decided to use Joanna Sheen's Floral Fantasy CD for this card
I was asked to make a card for a friend's niece for her birthday. The remit had to be pink, pink, pink!!! I used Michelle Marsden's Triple Treasures CD to make this card
I was asked by a friend to make a special card for her brother to give to his wife for their 1st wedding anniversary. I used the Arty Farty Paige's template to make this card, along with the Glitter Girls Celebration Board but when sticking it all together it went slanted so I had to redo the back pages again so I wasn't best pleased. I had to use cats/kittens on the card as this was the topic I was asked for
A friend who has cards off me wanted me to make a card for her daughter and son-in-law's 1st wedding anniversary so I used Joanna Sheen's Fashion Boutique to make this card
I was asked to make a card for a lady's grand-daughter so I decided to make one similar to that I made for my niece using Crafter's Companions Girls' CD
I was asked to make a commissioned card for a lady's brother and sister-in-law who will be celebrating their 1st wedding anniversary shortly. I used Joanna Sheen's Fashion Boutique to make this card and My Craft Studio to do the insert
The topic for August was a card of your garden or your pets using Flowersoft. Well I haven't any pets (only the cuddly toy brigade) and we only have an elevated vegetable garden so I got my husband to take some photos of his vegetable patch and made an inverted pyromage picture of his bean plants with the leaves of the bean plants for a background to the card and a border of the courgette plants
I made a card today for a neice's birthday on Friday. Sadly I was so tired today that three cards went into the bin before this one emerged that I was happy with. I used the Crafter's Companion Girls CD for this card
My Mum asked me if I could make a card for her grandson's 16th birthday. I'd planned this one from me and my husband but used this one for her. Yet again I used my new Card Toonz Professional Nuttyness CD by Andy Carolan - needless to say I think I like this CD!!!!!
I recently had to have various appointments at the dentist and made this special card for my dentist to say thank you. I used my new Card Toonz Professional Nuttyness CD by Andy Carolan
A colleague at work did private work for her ex NHS Consultant but as he was retiring from the private work as well a surprise party was being organised and she wanted an extra special card. I decided to buy a new CD - Card Toonz Professional Nuttyness by Andy Carolan as I knew it had a picture of a doctor on it. I told my friend it was a pity that a nurse couldn't be included but it turns out his wife is a nurse so I got to use the doctor and nurse image and then various other images as he loves gardening and also his beloved guitars. It took me some time to make up the verse but it brought a tear to my friend's eyes when she read it. The Consultant was "over the moon" with his card and it has taken pride of place on the mantelpiece for all visitors to see.
