Jude's blog candy

Jude is celebrating 3000 hits - I've certainly got a long long way to go to until I get to this. I have added the website to my favourites as there are a lot of lovely creations on there and I will be back to look at them in the future.

Card for Nephew's 18th Birthday

It is my nephew's 18th birthday on Tuesday so I thought I'd use Joanna Sheen's Jayne Netley Mayhew CD as my nephew has always loved animals. I'm sure he'll like this rather cute baby elephant - but might not admit to it!!!

Card for a friend

This a card I made for a friend who sent me a package of things to use for my cards I make for charity. I used some of the India Marij Rahder decoupage.

Card for a Golden Wedding Anniversary

The same lady at work who wanted a card for her brother wanted a card for her husband's Mum and Dad for their Golden Wedding Anniversary. I used Joanna Sheen's Floral Fantasy along with the Glitter Girls Celebration Board and finished it off with some flowers from www.joannasheen.com. These flowers were cream so I used my The Works equivalents to H2Os and painted them a golden colour. The card was ended with 30 small gems around the oval image - I need some more now. I hope she likes it.

Commissioned Card for a 50th Birthday Card

A friend at work asked me to make a card for her brother's 50th birthday. He is into fishing. I told her I knew a CD I could buy that I could make the card from. This meant I had to have the Jayne Netley Mayhew CD from Joanna Sheen otherwise I wouldn't have been able to make the card!!! I've never been asked to make any for anyone at work despite everyone knowing I make cards.
UPDATE: I have been told by the sister that her brother LOVED the card sooooooooo much that he has framed it.

Commissioned Card for a Mum for her daughter for Christmas

I was asked to make a special Christmas card for a customer's daughter for Christmas. She lives in Australia so I decided I'd made a very wintery style card. I used the Crafter's Companion Cute Companions CD, stamped out the little mice designed by Jayne Nesterenko and also used My Craft Studio to do the insert. Hopefully it will be soon on its way to Australia.
UPDATE - I was told yesterday that the daughter loved her card. It brought back happy memories of Christmases they spent in Germany as a child and various other countries as her dad was in the forces. I made sure the card was very wintery looking as I know that it will be summertime weather for her on Christmas Day and she could even have a barbecue!!!

Commissioned Card for a Mum for her son and family for Christmas

One of my customers asked for a very special card for her son and family for Christmas. Her son for his birthday this year had a military bear card - as he's in the military in the USA - and when he graduated in the summer the bear had his graduation hat on - so he needed to make an appearance in the Christmas card so he's got a Santa's hat on!!! This is the first time I'd made a double pop-out card. It went slightly wrong as when I put it together it wouldn't go in an A4 envelope so I had to cut it apart and re-do to make sure it went in an A4 envelope to avoid any problems posting to the USA. I was also sent some photos of their dogs so I took these images into My Craft Studio and got the dogs' head and decoupaged them up on the baubles. For this card I've used Robert Addams' Teddy CD, Michelle Marsden's Triple Treasure Christmas CDs and My Craft Studio Magic of Christmas CDs.

Joanna Sheen Card Swap - November 2008

This month for the Joanna Sheen Card Swap there was no topic. I thought I'd use and oriental image from www.cheapdies.co.uk. I made the frame with my Craftroom Workstation and added some flowers from Joanna Sheen's website.

Charity Stall - November 2008

It's amazing how time flies but another month is here and the stall has been set up for the week. I hope it raises more than it did last month. I sold £2.50 worth of cards in the whole week - it's the worst sales I've had. This time I am raising funds for the BBC Children in Need Appeal so I am hoping people dig deep.

Card for Someone at Work

Where I work we have a birthday list. When it's your birthday the person before you to have a birthday has to buy a card/organise a collection/buy the present. Of course I couldn't go out and buy a card but then I had a problem I didn't know what to do for this lady. I trawled soooooooooooooooooo many CDs but in the end I opted for this image from Joanna Sheen's Floral Fantasy CD and decided I'd do a matching bookmark to go with it. Some made no comment at all when signing it. Others said it was really really lovely.

My Craft Studio Walk in Wonderland CDs

I was fortunate to be included as one of the sample makers for the My Craft Studio Walk in Wonderland CDs. I didn't have the full selection that comes on the CDs but there were too many nice ones and I felt guilty at not using some!!! Unfortunately my eyes started playing up so I found finishing off the samples very difficult but I was pleased with the end results. I haven't watched all the shows I taped but I did see three of my cards on TV which cheered me up no end. I just love using the CDs. I use many other CDs as well but I like using the MCS ones as I can decide what I want to do, what colour I want it to be etc etc. It wasn't until yesterday I realised it was the 1st birthday of My Craft Studio CDs - so Happy Birthday to them and I look forward to more CDs to come in the next year.

Commissioned Wedding Card

I was asked for another card for the same couple from the aunt and uncle. This time I used the Crafter's Companion Occasions CD. I used the colouriser to make my own colour and then used the backing paper/insert to match.

Commissioned Wedding Card

I was asked by a Mum to make her daughter a wedding card. I used a pyromage CD i have for this and used some heart holographic card and of course used some lovely flowers from www.joannasheen.com

Card for a Bridesmaid and a Best Man

One of my customers is getting married shortly and her family have asked for cards for her but I decided to make this card for the bridesmaid and the best man.

Leaving Card

My husband wanted a card for a colleague at work who was leaving. I wanted to do a map showing the route of where she was moving from/to but I couldn't find a postcode. Instead I used the wonderful Joanna Sheen's Floral Fantasy to make this card and also the flower embellishments were bought from http://www.joannasheen.com/ The card went down a treat and the lady was really please with it.
